This is my piece for the Station Zero show at Light Grey Art Lab.
Each artist got a copy of a vintage science-fiction book and was asked to reinterpret the cover in his/her own way.
The exhibition opens July 19th.
Prints of all the works are already available here.

A replica of a Japanese Zero is burned by artist Katsushige Nakahashi who is part of a exhibition at the University of Hawaii at Manoa called "Recontructing Memories'. The zero was burned in a tradition of the Japanese obon closing ceremony. The burning symbolizes a spiritual renewal and a parallel to japanese funeral rites.
Another shot from the Leys of Marlee in Blairgowrie. I can think of very few previously sacred places with a modern road right through the middle. I would like th think the road wouldn't be built now but I am not so sure. In case you are wondering that is A and Bro to the right. Happy Tree Tuesday by the way!

Well, I assume this is a cantilever bridge, although I am happy to be corrected by a bridge geek (I must have at least one in my contacts).

The Mitsubishi A6M is without a doubt the most famous Japanese fighter. First flown against the Chinese in the Sino Japanese War; the A6M was fast, light and very agile. The allied code name for this aircraft was “Zeke”, although it was also well known as the “Zero”. In 1941 and early 1942, the Zero ruled the skies in the Pacific. The battle of Midway in June of 1942 changed the course of the war for the Japanese and the Zero no longer had air superiority. The Zero was manufactured throughout the war in many versions and was used desperately in the end as Kamikaze aircraft.
This aircraft was found in New Guinea in 1991 at the abandoned Babo airfield. The aircraft was abandoned on barrels for work on the landing gear and engine. Its engine was in the progress of being changed or remounted because it was unbolted from the engine mounts and parts of the engine stand were under the engine itself.
This airplane was used in the filming of the movie “Pearl Harbor”.

Ground Zero | Kailua-Kona, Hawaii | This spot was made famous by landscape photographer @cj_kale. I was so excited to finally see this place in person that my hands were shaking. I forgot to tighten my beloved camera to my tripod and yes, it fell in the water. Whenever I wanted to risk my life for a shot, my loyal camera was always with me. I will never forget you Nikon D810.
This little cutie is Zero my Mom's dog . He's the man of the house or a least he thinks he is LOL! Have a great evening everyone!
Happy Bunny Day everyone.
This was a made from a photograph of a crayon drawing I did as a child and a detail photo of my current circuitboard-embroidery octopus project mixed in photoshop with plenty of editing.

Zero-sum games are games where the amount of "winnable goods" is fixed. Whatever is gained by one actor, is therefore lost by the other actor: the sum of gained (positive) and lost (negative) is zero.

Dusk descends over the Lofoten Islands, with my ghost looking on (extreme left). This was shot in Borge and incorporates a fence...HFF!

I probably made this, or a similar shot, far too many times when I was on Bornholm last year. It was hard not to, given the beauty of the light and the sea.
This was probably taken someone near our hotel. Other pinhole shots taken in Denmark can be found on Pinholista.com. There's some good stuff on Pinholista by other pinhole photographers, drop me a line if you'd like to be featured.
If you have a chance to look at Pinholista, then perhaps you'd also like to listen to the Pinhole Podcast, I ramble and splutter whilst being tolerated by others. It might entertain you, why not give it a try.
