I think I actually did achieve a zen state with this one. Apparently one of my children had asked me a question several times and I didn't hear him!

The Happy and Angry Birds Series is perfect for Halloween. The bird in black pen was very spooky, I did not get the original drawing scanned, but digitally manipulated the shading to grayscale after the fact. Even the converted grayscale shading had an angry feel. It was amazing to see how color changed this angry bird to a happy bird. See the color version in my Flicker Photostream.

I'm currently running a "Mirrored String" challenge at lineweaving.com/forums and this is a little sneak peak at the 3 strings I posted for folks to play with over the holiday weekend.
The challenge?..... Use the pre-drawn mirror string as a starter to create something, tangley and doodley like.
You'll be able to download the PDF version of these strings from inside the forums. Come and join the fun!

here's the black and white version - I tried to go for the lacey patterns and then it became heavier once I started with the Zen Buds - cause I drew them bigger than I really wanted too - oh well!! :))
