The Armidale - Sydney Xplorer service waits at Werris Creek station for the late running Moree section
Chester Hill station Canberra Morning train 2505 approaching from Leightonfield, to Strathfield. This stranger provides human interest, then moves to board the train, which slowed, and provides human interest in my next picture.

EC2523 leads SP36, the third ex-Canberra Xplorer of the day, out of Queanbeyan, bound for Sydney Terminal, with EA2501 trailing.
The next port of call for this service will be Bungendore, followed by Tarago, Goulburn, Bundanoon, Moss Vale, Bowral, Mittagong, Campbelltown and Sydney Terminal.
ADL Enviro 400 at Midsomer Norton Tesco at the end of a 172 from Bath - the route no longer goes to Paulton or Farrington Gurney. With the 171 and 178 withdrawn as well, the only regular First service through Paulton is the 379 running Bath to Bristol via the A37.

A big, bulky American Motorhome, certainly looking ver 60's in design, complete with gas cooker, a small bedroom in the back and an extensive dashboard and bench seating area up front.
Even by today's standards it puts modern motorhomes to shame!
NSW TrainLink Xplorer SP34 the midday service from Canberra to Sydney is seen arriving into Goulburn from Canberra. This service runs 3 times a day.
Waiting for the Armidale Xplorer to arrive, before proceeding through and joining up to travel back to Sydney, as the Northern Tablelands Xplorer service.

The late running AK cars have just shunted to the crossing loop to allow the terminating passenger service from Sydney to arrive. Both trains will spend the night at Canberra, although the Xplorer will feel much safer in the razor wire compound, whilst the AK cars will brave the outside world. Some kangaroos were watching the precedings just to the right of the photo.
