Please men, lose this craze NOW! The fact that an entire section has been turned over to this ridiculous trend in a high street store is testament to people's general stupidity and oafishness. Rant over.

Naturally, the first photograph I took would be at the wrong site, but we did quickly learn of our mistake and we found our friends at the plume beds a few minutes later, on the Richardson Rock Ranch in Oregon.
One of the great missing rights in Nova Scotia is public water access for all. Some parts of the world guarantee that people can cross any lands to reach the shore. But for us, the only enshrined exception is for folks fishing. They can legally pass though any uncultivated areas to reach a stream or beach. Doesn't technically apply to me, as a non-fisher. It hasn't mattered too often, as I'm usually in places remote enough that no one cares. But now and then, someone decides that a generations-established trail should be blocked. Boudreau Brook and the waterfall known as the Merry Pisser is now one of those places, the owners of that dark home on the point responsible. When you lose a path through the brush, ease of access drops significantly. Only two options remain, to follow by the banks of a stream itself (something I've often done), or work your way along a coastline (much less safe and more time-consuming). Make no mistake, I think it's a great wrong that anyone should seek to block off many miles of shore for their own pleasure. It's a darkness dividing the good in us from the gone wrong.

BNSF's S-CHCTAC3-18 was sent up Main 2, wrong main, so the SP 4449 could come down Main 1 and be closer to the yard office when it made its stop. The CHCTAC is near MP 147 as it shares the narrow area between the Mississippi and the bluffs with IL Rte 84.

Had to do a really severe crop on this as i only had my 50mm on me. Very easy to get these little fellas to show themselves, i just turned a bit of soil over with a spade and within 10 seconds or so, this one appeared.

Mac user? Press ctrl+alt+cmd+8 for a negative screen, then the tux appears in the right colors! :-) Oh, I just discovered a second complementary model, the fork lifter from the 70s in the upper right corner! Note, the exif date is not right, shot in summer 2008.

Note the arrows painted on the pavement. The Hyundai was sporting student driver rookie stripes on the back.
One part of Swaton Vintage day was the Russian Egg Roulette. The idea is that each pair of contestants have 6 eggs to choose from and smash them in to their heads. Only one of the 6 eggs is raw, the rest are hard boiled. The person who ends up with the raw egg is deemed to be the looser.
"Come on I'm invisible... oh wait..." Even with the failed camouflage I bet it was able to capture some bees
