Negativo con velo a causa di un errore di preparazione del Caffenol (25g. di soda anziché 15).
Ma forse - dato anche il soggetto - non tutto il male vien per nuocere.
Because a mistake in calculations the amount of soda in mixing Caffenol was 25 g instead of 15 g, This resulted in heavy fogging. The right recipe should have been 25g instant coffee + 15 g anhydrous soda + 7.5 g vitamin C for 600 ml of solution. Next time I plan to add also 10g of sea salt for acting as a fog restrainer.
Well….this is wrong on many levels. First, we were supposed to get an adult. Second, I really wanted a beagle or a hound mix. Third, we wanted a medium sized dog. Then we met Runyon! We adopted him today from the Bottle Babies Rescue (Allen Park, Michigan). We came their for an older dog who was not there today. But we fell in love with this little guy. His name was Merl - but we are changing it to Runyon Jones - from the "Odyssey of Runyon Jones" by Norman Corwin - one of my all time favorite Old Time Radio programs. Runyon was the boy who went all over the galaxy and the heavens looking for his lost dog, Pootzy. But we thought that Runyon was a better name for this cutie. And what type of dog is Runyon? I guess he is a dog-brand dog - and that is great by me! He is just under 5 months old and we have no idea how big he will be. But he is chill and we fell hard. Since the adoption event was at PetSmart - he got lots of presents - like a squirrel chew toy! He is adjusting really well to our house - and Cosmo seems cautious. The good thing is that Runyon is not aggressive. Taken after a long day - May 4th, 2019 in Saline, Michigan.
I decided to take Broadway street yesterday to the Golden Gate Bridge. Which is not a direct route to the bridge, but it breaks the monotony of driving down Lombard street. Now it is not uncommon while traveling Broadway steet, west of Van Ness avenue to come across cab's stopped and waiting for a passenger. But it is unusual to see a San Francisco P.D. cruiser facing the wrong way. It had to be an important call.
While searching for the new LAPP Lab, I took the time to look up. There were no skyscrapers (except for the nearby Citi Tower), but there were randomly placed billboard sign behemoths along the LIE's span.

On the Streets - Downtown Nashville, Tennessee
Does letting the homeless buy a newspaper for 25 cents and sell it for 1 dollar to make a 75 cent profit really help? What people do with their money is their business, but if we are trying to help someone get off the street, should we be getting to the root of the problem instead of just handing out money? I am always leery of giving money to someone on the street because my natural instinct says that this person is probably going to buy cigarettes, alcohol or drugs. This is a stereotypical view and I am aware that not all people on the streets have addiction problems. However, regardless of the reason, I would put my money into organizations that would mentor to a person and get to know them to better understand their situation and thus set a true path for getting off the streets. In my opinion, if the people we see on the off ramps and street corners really wanted to get off the streets, they would seek such organizations, too. It seems that the government’s heart is always in the right place, but their methods are flawed. A perfect example of this is welfare. We set out to help people, but instead, we have created generations of dependency and entitlement that appears only to be getting worse.

An open letter to Mr Ben Afllec.
Dear Ben,
I always liked you, as a person, writer, actor, and as a director. At least until I saw your latest work. Argo.
In an essay type narration or comic strip at the beginning of your much publicized movie, you have summarized the history of Iran, the place I came from, in the most distorted, lop sided, wrong, and border to fraudulent way which only in fictional world of Hollywood you could get away with it. I am talking about the so-called art work of Kyle cooper that takes away any journalistic credibility from your work.
As respectful that I am trying to be, it is a simplistic, linear account of what led to the Iran's revolution, and as close to the truth, as the Khomeini's words was about his love for freedom of Iranian people. It is indeed the same wrongful song that broadcast mercilessly in the ear of Iranians prior to their fall, to persuade them, and justify their historic mass suicidal move of 1978.
You show a photoshop altered picture of an upside down hanged from ceiling tortured or dead person to show the brutality of Shah's regime which was replaced by Khomeini's multi dirty dozens. I am sure you didn't do that knowingly, but
You know well that using that altered picture, showing it to your audience as a document, not only ethnically is wrong, it simply takes away all the journalistic credential that you have tried so hard to earn in making of Argo.
In the same short part, the account of down fall of Mossadegh, the picture of poverty ridden iran in time of Mohamad Reza Shah is equally wrong, and at least remains unresolved amongst Iranians to this date. In a way the way they are presented in Argo, justifies a revolution which introduced the world to a phenomenon called, "state sponsored terrorism", a prelude to the September 11 disaster, which remains the biggest threat to the world security.
Iran is now a depressed nation, and in deep sense of guilt, for being manipulated in 1978 to go against the same person that Argo accuses of committing all the crimes, and wrong doings. Today in Iran, the older ones remember the days of Mohammadreza shah, as the days of lost glory, with remorse, and young ones blame their parents for joining the frenzy movement of 1978 which handed the destiny of many generations to come in the cruel hand of Khomeini and company. Your apparent consultants were wrong . My suggestion is, if you can't figure out how a person or an era was, look at what happened when that person and era are gone.
Argo's conclusion about two of the most controversial and hotly debated events among Iranians, has totally, and categorically ignored all the arguments and valid documents, and sided with the one's who have locked themselves in a mental cocoon of unearned intellectualism. They, dear Ben, are responsible for bringing the catastrophic revolution of Khomeini upon Iranians, and to the free world. Argo took the wrong side , and ignored the rest.
The politics, and history of Iran is so complicated, and confusing, even for many of the Iranians, even the educated ones. A haphazard look and judgement does not serve the justice.
Oh by the way, in that infamous comic strip at the beginning of Argo, a clip from the late Shah's last interview with David Frost in Panama a few month before his death, was used. Have you seen the rest of that interview? For instance, the part that he points at two American oil companies who financed this costly operation we know as Iran's devolution? Or the part he points at General Huyser's notorious mission in Iran, when he was dispatched, by President Carter to go to the Iranian Army generals and deliver his devastating secret message to them? Did you know? General Alexander Haig, commander of Nato forces, and general Huyser's boss then, resigned from his post in Nato in protest for what he considered an unjust interference of Carter administration in the Iranian internal affairs to undermine the Shah of Iran, in the deciding days when the movement in Iran was not labeled as "revolution" yet. I doubt if you have. Otherwise you would've given it a different treatment perhaps.
Your previous works always suggest that you are a talented film maker, but in your own world, in Hollywood mentality. Please go back to what you are good at it. Forget about our once "home", which was brought down because of an international plot 34 years ago. Forget it. We, and you will be much better off.
If by any chance you are interested in the truth, of what happened, and have a few hours time to spare, then watch a documentary called Devolution. I made that film dear Ben, not with mega budget of hundred millions such as yours, but with a personal few hundred thousand dollars budget. It is an independent true account of The disaster forced upon Iranians. us.
I wish you had seen Devolution before that historical blunder at the beginning of Argo.

Although “Do Not Enter” and “Wrong Way” signs already are in place along freeway off-ramps, new and larger versions of such signs are being installed and studied along the exit ramps at six freeway interchanges. In addition, signs will be placed lower on their posts to test if that could help in alerting confused or impaired wrong-way drivers.
I'm posting this as a record of the first time I've photographed the wrong bird!
Still at Mt Tomah Botanical Gardens, I was following a pair of relatively confiding whipbirds that were teasing in and out of shadowed and protected trees. Unfortunately they were keeping between me and the sun so the views weren't great. When one popped out onto a branch I took a few photos without looking carefully at the bird that was partly in silhouette. So just now I'm surprised to see it was actually a Red-whiskered Bulbul! In my defence they do have the same basic shape and both have a crest, though normally you'd be hard pressed to confuse the two.
(The Bulbul is an exotic Asian bird that has was introduced and settled in Sydney and seems to be expanding from there. Mt Tomah is perhaps 70km as the crow flies from central Sydney).

So - halfway gone, then!
Would it be wrong of me that I feel today is actually pretty sad? I think that no matter how much we whinge about this three-six-five, most of us will be empty when it's over. Agreed, it's a total pain in the arse with how much it engulfs your life, but this first half of the year has flown by and now I'm beginning to panic about what I'll do with myself when it's over ...
I thought long and hard about what to photograph today as it seemed like such a special point in time. I looked at the clock at noon and couldn't see anything worthwhile to mark my halfway point with, and by tonight the inspiration still hadn't come. Except I thought that maybe I should do a selfie as I haven't really done one since my birthday - and that was way back in March!
Funny how sometimes it transpires you shouldn't be looking to yourself for inspiration but to those around you ;) So I give full credit for this one to the lovely : Elizabeth : Thank you :D
(you'd think after six months of hanging around with you guys I'd have learned a bit about lighting - but no! Maybe that will come in the second half of the year ;p)
Racism is the subject as i got this bnp leaflet through my door. I was horrified when i saw it. I am a firm anti-racist and have no feelings of hate or comtempt to anyone purely based on their ethnic region. As you can probably tell by the burnt nature of the leaflet.
Im going over the coming weeks to try and cover some issues i feel are important to people my age and i know its a cliche but ill have a go.
The painting is a well-known Vermeer painting called 'the guitar player'. She is holding a baroque guitar, which is in fact an ancestor of the modern guitar.
I stupidly decided that it wouldn't be too dewy to walk to work in my regular sneakers, so I headed out without my waterproof shoes. Big mistake! Not only was there enough dew to drench me, but it was friggin' cold, too.

I went down the wrong road today while trying to locate a business. But sometimes the wrong road turns out to be the right one. :-) At least for a girl who likes to take photographs!!
This thing (and many other trees and shrubs) had decided it's springtime just as the cold wave was hitting us - today we have snow, I wonder how this feels.. Nature gone crazy :( (But it was beautiful while it lasted; snow is also beautiful but it didn't last - so far)
