The first shot in a series of photos from Storön, an old building plot in the middle of a vast forest, now abandoned and turned into a spontaneous junkyard. The photos were all taken at midnight in bright moonlight.

We're here are honoring Darwin day by visitng things they won't let us do anymore.

Ran out of firelighters but this old bottle of ACME stuff looks like it should do the trick.

M89 is the last in my collection of Messier galaxies in the Virgo cluster. I left until last thinking it would not make a very interesting image subject. Wrong. I have found this to be a fascinating image containing many faint galaxies. M89 itself is small, faint and perfectly round. In reality it is a 74,000 light years sphere of old stars, 50 m light years away.

you couldn't sleep for the awful fright

that kept you up in bed last

they vanish with the sunrise spark

so rise, and shine

now's the time to be alive

to stay awake with me a while,

People often wrongly believed that bald eagles were cowardly animals as well as prolific thieves of other birds. Even Benjamin Franklin thought the bald eagle was a poor choice as the national bird.

This is one of my favorite pieces I've done over the last year. 12"x12 Mix Media on Canvas.

This is my first collaboration with Messrs. KKTP, Takako and Yuma. It's been a complete blast doing this project with them. Aren't they talented? All four of us have different layouts and pictures so remember to check them out. You won't be disappointed.

Can you guess which one is mine?

When you visit Prekestolen (a.k.a. Pulpit Rock) the beautiful views are quite overwhelming and you don't always know which way to look.

UP 949 and 951 were in the shop today to get there rotary beacon changed. Walthers put the wrong type on these units. So they were changed out to the western cullen type which is what is on the prototype units today.

It’s on the wrong side of the sky but I’ll take it. The sky lit up early, then faded away. Then the wrong side (here, looking North) lit up and faded. Then, at the last minute, the clouds in the East lit up on the bottom. It was nice to finally have an interesting morning after a long dry spell.

...somebody missed a few pages in the calender.

I am sorry to report that the Hereios are mired in The Horrors of Valentines Day!

With apologies to Giulio Romano [Public domain], via Wikimedia Commons. I savaged a piece of his amazing fresco, Psyche's Second Task. When I first saw this art the humor of it made me think it was modern, but it is actually part of some remarkable works from the 1500’s, found in the Palazzo del Te.

Seems I took a wrong turn somewhere...

I guess even time lords get lost sometimes.

This is the wrong size tyre for this size car..! Unless they are planning on making it a monster car.. :)

I say wrong way because, when one is fly fishing for trout, one usually casts his fly upstream and lets the current work it back towards him, rather than down stream as this fisherman is doing.

This is a composite image for Down Under Challenge No. 1134, starting with KathC's challenge image of the stream. The fisherman is a shot my son took of me around 1980, while camping in the Sierras.

On 02/03/19, Network Rail RTOV 9714 is seen in Clay Mills loop, just north of Burton on Trent in Staffordshire, with Colas 37175 sat at the rear of the formation. The working was the 3Q21 Bristol High Level Sdgs to Derby RTC UTU.

Sunday of Glastonbury Festival requires dozens of buses to bring "day visitors" from nearby towns to the Festival. The failure of the Go South Coast Spectra resulted in some "wrong direction" arrivals into the Festival Bus Station - including my Olympian N429FKK fully loaded from Radstock.

Uma outra sugestão para reunir os amigos é preparar um churrasco nesta churrasqueira, com todos os itens decorativos que a loja /WRONG/ colocou em PROMOÇÃO ATÉ HOJE (27 de Fevereiro), por 60L$.

This container ship, the Hansa Constitution, took a wrong turn and hit the sea wall. No one was hurt and it moved off quickly but it was a bit of a surprise to see it.

As I walked from the car up to the location, I thought "what chance something on the SSFL? Naaah, haven't seen it used since the first working back in December." Unfortunately, I had the big lens on. The first image was poorly composed, so I've settled on posting this one of the oddity colour scheme. NR19/NR18/NR105 on a down freight at Minto 20130717

Not sure Ai Wei Wei would approve, but hey, it's my camera!

Just a fun shot. A little frenzy at a feeder. When storms approach they seem to know it ahead of time and my small flock of visiting Siskins turns into a very large flock.

I couldn't believe my eyes. I was shooting in our local park when I spotted this cockatiel totally out of his comfort zone. He did escape from the goose, of which there were many checking him out, and flew to a nearby tree. I reported him to park authorities hoping to get him reunited with his human family. Keep your fingers crossed. View large image please.

One of those shot with totally the wrong settings that turned out OK. Its what happens when you grab your camera out of the bag drop the lens cap and click.

Don't give up just keep taking photos.

Agfa Vista Plus 200 works perfectly fine with brightly and evenly illuminated scenes. No need to use much more expensive professional film under such circumstances.

However when the lighting moves outside the comfort zone of this film, results can turn out rather Lomo-esque.

It doesn't really matter since Agfa Vista Plus 200 is really Fujifilm C200 and Fujifilm is withdrawing from the film market, so this film will soon be gone. But I'm making a mental note for use of my two last rolls.
