it is now more than two years back that we lived through the big earthquakes in our area - our house still broken, or rather more broken than before, and still no fixing in sight... so, this is why we still cook in our paper workshop, a 'provisory' solution we hope! hand washed dishes (yes, the dish washer broke in the quake) are drying on the porch on a shelf, and this little lizzard ended up by mistake inside a drying bottle - he found his way out soon after taking the picture
I had not seen this version of the special paint schemes for the DC to AC Conversion Units before...of course, it was trailing.

WEEK 19 – Barnes Crossing Kroger, Pre-Remodel (IV)
(cont.) That said, there’s nothing wrong with generic and one-level… and plus, it’s all-brick, so that’s a major bonus! We’re wrapping things up for today with this wide shot of the entire store exterior, taken from the edge of the parking lot on my July 7th, 2016 visit.
This will do it for the Barnes Crossing Kroger for now, but remember, I’ve got a post-remodel photoset coming your way soon showcasing this store’s new interior look. I got some pictures of that one evening in January, and hope to supplement it with more on my annual Tupelo trip this summer in advance of a fall semester photoset reprising this series. So be sure to stay tuned for that!

The grain on Adox CMS II is so fine and nice, even pushed three stops. Ricoh 35 ZF, V800 scan.
Long hood forward CN 5336 leads a small stone train south at RX on its first trip on BLE rails. Because of the lack of ditch lights the 5336 could not exceed 20mph over crossings on its way to GV.
We went to Mona Vale this morning in the hope that the water would be flowing over the pool. Not to be but it was still a fantastic morning.

Wrong way round 150132 pictured awaiting entry to the Doncaster Wabtec Works on 10/7/18. Contrary to appearances these are both cars from the unit which for some reason had been shunted cab to cab!!
On 08/02/20 I headed to Derby Midland Station to see DRS 57301 working the 0M59 Kilmarnock CE Sdgs to Leicester LIP move. This was unusual in that it travelled to Crewe via the WCML then across to Stoke and North Stafford Jn, but instead of going via Castle Donington (requiring no reversal) heading east then back south to Leicester, it came up to Derby and turned before heading across to Spondon to continue south. Very odd, but it allowed a few shots as the driver changed ends.

German Stage and film actress Sabine Sinjen (1942-1995) was a teenage star of the 1950s, who became a protagonist of the Neue Deutsche Film in the 1960s.
As a little girl, Sabine Sinjen already performed for the children's radio of the WDR and later she took drama lessons. In Die Frühreifen (Josef von Báky, 1957) she played her first film role as the innocent-naive Hannelore who falls in love with the wrong guy. She proved to be a natural talent and next, she played with Lili Palmer and Romy Schneider in the remake of Mädchen in Uniform (Géza von Radványi, 1958). Film producer Artur Brauner gave her a seven-year contract and soon she became a star with the box office hit Stefanie (Josef von Báky, 1958) and the sequel Stefanie in Rio (Curtis Bernhardt, 1960). Brauner kept her playing the natural and innocent teenager in cheesy Heimat films like Die Försterchristel (Franz Josef Gottlieb, 1962), but she did not want to be typecasted and broke her contract. More interesting films were Das Glas Wasser (Helmut Käutner, 1960) and the German western Die Flußpiraten vom Mississippi (Jürgen Roland, 1964). Like Romy Schneider she went to France and made films there like Les tontons flingueurs (Georges Lautner, 1963).
In the early 1960s, Sabine Sinjen debuted as a stage actress in the Schiller Theatre in Berlin. On TV, she became very popular as the daughter of Gustav Knuth in the series Alle meine Tiere (1962-1963) and she also made ambitious tv plays with her husband Peter Beauvais. In the mid-1960’s she started to work with film director Ulrich Schamoni and became the protagonist of the Neue Deutsche film. In such films as Es (Ulrich Schamoni, 1965), Alle Jahre wieder (Ulrich Schamoni, 1967) and Wir zwei (Ulrich Schamoni, 1969) she played women in problematic situations and won several awards for these roles. In the 1970s she concentrated on theatre and TV. Occasionally she made a film, like Am Wege (Peter Beauvais, 1975) and Caspar David Friedrich - Grenzen der Zeit (Peter Schamoni, 1986). In 1984 she was diagnosed with cancer and lost sight in her right eye, but still, she kept playing in theatre and on tv, wearing an eye-patch. She played her last film part in Das Haus im Ginster (Gottfried Junker, 1992). Cancer killed her in 1995. She was married twice, first to Peter Beauvais and later to another director, Günther Huber.

How can something that is seen as being all wrong turn out to be not wrong at all?
I have had my gay brother and his partner visiting this weekend and I had a little chat with my brother about how upset I was when he made it clear that I would not be welcomed at his shared with four other people birthday party at the beginning of the year. it made me feel that he was embarrassed about me being trans and even though he said that all he was doing was not putting me into an awkward situation I still feel he doesn't know how to handle this side of me.
Oh well poor block will just have to get use to it lol

Yuki: "Do you know how big those make your butt look?"

Yuki: "Are you going to rent the extra space to a family of four?"
Makoto: "Should I get another size? Maybe in another color?"
Yuki: "Maybe try another style? Maybe something that flatters you?"
Makoto: "Where are my denim shorts?"

Makoto: "Shouldn't I wear them to leave the fitting room after I take these off?"

Makoto: “Why do you think I bring you shopping with me? Don’t you know you’re supposed to help me?”

Makoto: “Does my shopping wingman know my money is in my the pocket of my shorts?”
Yuki: “Do you know, I think I found them?”
Makoto: “Wasn’t that quick?”
Yuki: “You think about how much more money would fit in these giant cargo pants pockets?”
