Breaking up the maroon, grey and red of Toton TMD on 17/03/19 was Black 5 45231 'The Sherwood Forester'.
For 20 years the BAC 167 Strikemaster was the Royal New Zealand Air Force's primary jet trainer.
In 1972, the RNZAF accepted 10 of these aircraft, and the order was followed up in 1975 with another six.
In 1992, RNZAF re[laced the Strikemaster with the MB339-CB - an aircraft built by the Italian company Aermacchi, and the Strikemaster type was retired.
What happened to these aircraft after their retirement is a little lost in the mists of Time, but (after over 90 minutes of research), I believe 18 of the aircraft went to America before "NZ6372" found its way back to New Zealand in 2019...
In the scene above, the aircraft has just returned after participating in the "Warbirds Over Wanaka" airshow (www.warbirdsoverwanaka.com/), and I'm guessing it had Air Traffic Control permission to swoop in from the south... (Commercial jetliners were landing from the north...!).
Thanks so much for the very kind and encouraging comments beneath this photo...! Your support is very greatly appreciated.
3 butterflies.
The third one sits in the background and can be seen only as a paint spot (right word?? = blur of color?).
Unfortunately, I have cut the wing a little bit, the butterfly has moved at the wrong moment.

I was back at work this week, this time in Vienna.
Since I have never been to Vienna before I was a bit sad that I didn't get to see anything but the 500 meters between my hotel and the production office.
And another 200 meters up the street in the other direction for late night Bratwurst and beer trips.
As I told the cab driver who was taking me to the airport about this he didn't hesitate and gave me the best tour I could have asked for. It was already dark out and every building I saw was breathtakingly beautiful.
Sitting in a car with only another hour to go until I'd leave the country did feel a bit like being a kid in front of a candy store window, though.
With no money.
On a Sunday.
I will just have to come back. At least Vienna ranks as my number one city in terms of friendly cab drivers now.
This is me with The Six Million Dollar Man and Markus, the director.

Wrong angle to see him but he was landed on top of the two wires to do maintenance, very impressive and brave!
Having supposed to enter from the eastern end of Washwood Heath RMC, the Colas tamper instead ran to Duddeston to run around and head in the other way. The Tamper had worked from Rugby, with a reversal at Walall.

Bröderna Ivansson's scrapyard has gone from being a destruction site for cars to a cultural meeting place.
A different attraction
Båstnäs is truly a different attraction, northern Europe's only car scrapyard of its kind. If you travel from Töcksfors via Västra Fågelvik for approximately 25 kilometers on winding dirt roads, you will come to a signpost where it says Här lüttar allmn väg, then you will find yourself in Båstnäs and the car cemetery, and immediately existence feels a little surreal.
Cultural meeting place
The car cemetery is a monument to a time that has moved. Now the cars in Båstnäs can be seen as an installation where nature is the most important actor. Over the years, Båstnäs has become a cultural meeting place for artists and especially photographers from all over the world.
