This Mitsubishi RP118 bus on the 36A line has the fleet number painted incorrectly on the front. There's an extra zero: it should be 80427.
A bunch of nice things from the dining room including Scott's Wrong HairDo piece of art ... also contains South African handmade TinTin with missing quiff. The location shows more or less where I got my haircut in Paris many years ago. This was the second half of the gift from Scott and Sarah :-) My hair must have been VERY bad!
Sometimes I think about getting a full suspension bike, usually for about half a second. Too many stairs today, and I wasn't wearing a helmet. I walked some of them.

so when we see this cut we all say is twistedeven though we all know it's just a mere photo effect...
and than it may have been the photographer decision to leave it like that...
so we go back to our basic conceptions instead of accept and experience...

Best guess, based on the stamped date, and activity going on at such time (per the "Saturn Illustrated Chronology"): S-IB-10 undergoing acceptance testing. If so, it would later - MUCH later - loft ASTP. Even if wrong, a really neat photo, whatever it is.
Note also the F-1 engine tankage in the right-hand cell.

From a “Brief Chronology of Facilities Buildup Relating to History of Marshall Space Flight Center (Early 1950s through 1990)” - a synopsis of the tower:
“1951: The Static Test Tower (Facility Number 4572) was constructed. It was initially used to conduct 487 tests involving the Army’s Jupiter missile. It contained two test positions, and because of its appearance was sometimes called the “T-Tower. It was designed to test rocket systems with a maximum thrust of 500,000 lb. In 1961, the test stand was modified to permit static firing of the Saturn I and Saturn IB stages, which produced a total thrust of 1.6 million pounds. The name of the stand was then changed to the S-IB Static Test Stand and it has also been referred to as the Propulsion and Structural Test Facility. The west side of the stand was used to test the S-I stage. The east side was used to the test the S-IB stage. A total of 24 tests were performed on 10 S-I stages while 32 tests were performed on 12 S-IB stages. The west side was also used to test the F-1 engine; 75 F-1 engine tests were performed through July 1968. In 1984, the west side of the test stand was again modified to permit structural tests on the Space Shuttle Solid Rocket Booster. Since its original construction and activation in 1951, a total of 649 tests have been conducted at the facility. The 140-foot high facility was selected as a National Historic Landmark because it was the first test stand to fire rocket engines in a cluster. The name of the facility was later changed to the Hazardous Structural Test Complex.

A NS SD60E trails a boring UP GE on a westbound manifest passing the ongoing construction along the Chicago Line. If only the consist was reversed.
Zac was sitting keeping an eye on the WCML when two sheep came to investigate what he was doing !
Being a Border Collie he has no interest in rounding up sheep, so he decided to move further along the grass at Scout Green.......so the sheep followed !

Yosemite NP
First time adventure to Yosemite NP and we were meaning to go to the "Valley" but mistakenly took the wrong way which leads to the other side of Yosemite i.e. Hetch Hetchy Camp. It takes approximately 7 miles of winding road to get back to the right way.
Aaarrrggghhhh!!!! Who's idea was it to put this on the slow line at Trowell when it was booked on the fast? In fantastic light, 56301 heads south at Trowell with 6Z56 07.28 York Holgate to Chaddesden empty JRA's on Thursday 2nd May 2013.
Yesterday Jim wanted to go to the health club. I didn't feel up to exercising so took Little Burrito inside for a visit. Here he is showing off his style and grace on a treadmill. I am going to have to start taking video and then extracting a frame in order to get a decent pic of him. He is far too busy for still photos in an environment like the health club -- too many machines to explore and too many people to greet!
Wrong Way Corrigan was an American aviator who flew from New York to Ireland back in the late 1930s. He had filed his flight plan to show he was flying to California and claimed he had made a navigational error. Makes a nice story but apparently nobody much believed it because he was an experienced pilot, but he never wavered from his "that's my story and I'm sticking to it" stance:-))
So the most disappointing thing to me is being almost right, but also lots wrong

I went with Domestic (US Citizen) with some past experience in either Iraq or Afghanistan
It "felt" like a domestic and the bomb was classic middle east
Well I was both right and wrong
the younger one is a US citizen - score
the older one was a green card holder - which counts as domestic the way we look at it
but there also seems to be some foreign nexus
and the pressure cooker bomb has traveled to Russia, just like the older suspect
So half right, half wrong
