Not sure what appeals me in this shot. I mainly see, as usually, what is wrong: since I wanted to use a low ISO and at the same time blur what is behind the butterfly, what I got is a loss of details on the wings. I recovered some with the HDR process, but I even wonder whether the merging was completely correct (the little fellas were quite kind to me, but sometimes couldn't help moving a little bit). The head isn't much visible and perhaps it is a good thing, since it looks quite out of focus.
The only reason I usually mention the negatives is because I suppose it is a way of improving, the trying to detect what could be done better. At the same time I like the way the butterfly stands, and the view 'inside' the wings. Nothing special, but probably a slightly unusual point of view. I kept focusing on the 'buckeye' and probably it wasn't a brilliant idea, but again: the final result does not displease me too much.
And I hope I got the name, common one and scientific one, right, this time :)
Pretty much straight out of the camera. Minor crop, minor color/tone adjustments, a border and copyright. This is one of those images where when I first saw it, I said "Wow that's kinda cool". I then quickly reminded myself that it's all wrong!! The only thing in focus is the fly's butt and a wing edge, everything else is mush!! Yet I can't bring myself to delete it and everytime I go through this folder looking for something to process I stop on this image everytime!! I like it, so here it is, for better or worse!!

Inspired but the feeling of knowing something is wrong yet you still keep going.
There was always that "gut feeling" yelling not to proceed, things did not go well.
for personal reasons I can't share exactly what it is, Just know I AM GOOD, just let down. I know GOD has a better plan, it is very tough for me to understand HIS plan now, I am trying.
I did not think it would get awry in such a bad way, I am now back to where I started. I guess endings are new beginnings and I am hurt but I know IT WILL GET BETTER.

The reflection is another photo going on a completely different direction representing the inner me.
I, of course, had to wash Brayden's hair (Impossible to do it yesterday cause yesterday was probably my busiest day of this whole year lol, school, cinema, France, back home, lessons to study... Blah Blah Blah) so as her clothes were hanging in my living room while she was drying and as I was intrigued to see if it could work I tried her clothes on a MH Doll and actually it fits her pretty well :D
It's a bit too large to me but even on Brayden it's not tight so I guess it's pretty similar looking
The only thing they can't share are the shoes, Beatrix have tiny little feet but it's ok, it's still good to know that they can share :p

The marathon is next month and that made me flick through some oldies. The light was great (though probably not to run in) and created a nice high contrast.
L-Chi103 cuts through the fields on its northbound run to Barstow. Unfortunately the nice evening sun didn't show itself for this shot due to a rather poorly located cloud. The Sd40-2 that was supposed to be leading also was trailing. All this added up to a less than preferable experience, but that didn't stop me from getting a good photo.
Got a Corona problem? Make a Corona idol! It's a traditional method. What could possibly go wrong? That picture was made on a roll of long expired Agfa Vista 400 (the real thing, not the now discontinued Fujifilm rebranding) that had 07/03 written on it, and 20 views (not 24) on it. I've gone though a few expired films, this one is definitely on the more psyhedelic end of the spectrum. The palm still goes tho a roll of Konica VX 400 - see bellow.
Pentax ME and SMC Pentax 50mm f/1.7, expired Agfa Vista 400 (exposed as ISO 125) developed with the Rollei C41 kit and digitalized using kit zoom and extension tubes.

CSXT 75 leads NS 120 eastbound on the Springfield-Hannibal District through Hannibal, MO on 7/20/18.
Bristols local V19 is seen here crossing Commonwealth Avenue in Bristol, VA while working Bristol asphalt with 2 SD40s and the biggest cut of cars ive ever seen them use on this small branch which is only about a mile or so long from the Bristol yard.
I got a thumbs up from the driver, when I managed to indicate to him that he was still displaying his tail lights, as he set out to Liverpool for another load of black rocks.

ZG2BR goes wrong main at Glen Ellyn on the way to the Pacific Northwest with a Flagless low ditchlight AC44 second out behind a UP Gevo leader.
With the deck portion and one side of the signal bridge safely out of the way and MoW having to re-strapping the new LED bridge to the crane to move it into position for the final phase of installment, BNSF' San Bernardino Sub Dispatcher had a small window of opportunity to slug any trains that were holding out in any direction through Highgrove. As luck would have it there was a pair of Westbound intermodal trains held out at Rana waiting to get into Hobart and Long Beach Respectably. That being said the trains were probably somewhat side by side until the Santa Ana River bridge and subsequent uphill grade which the Z-train which was more apt to run up due to the fact that it was: lighter, shorter and had more HPT. So with that being said here's a blip of two Westbounds roaring up into the top of the short climb out of the Santa Ana River toward Highgrove, with BNSF 3984 taking the lead, dorky temporary signals and all.
