The music idol is a Guild acoustic guitar - in a shop window arrangement. As much as I like the clever design, and I love music - aren't we shifting values and worshiping the wrong thing/s? (And I don't mean worship a Martin or Taylor guitar instead.. :)

One of the biggest challenges of shooting film is that there are too many things that could go wrong during the shooting process. On the other hand, it actually makes you become more discipline before hitting the shutter. When you have a scene like this, you only have a small time window to capture it before the light and colors start to fade away. I have decided to go back to film because I didn't take photography seriously in the past. Only until I picked up my first DSLR in the late 2005, had I become more serious. The chemicals and the emulsion involved are fascinating to me. But I understand the underlying challenges and I am willing to accept them for my new journey.

I was set up westbound and heard this eastbound. I did have time to turn all the flashes so just for giggles I turned two of the six flashes toward the nose and this what came out not to I think.

This little patch of flowers has bloomed in the barnyard every spring for as long as I can remember. And I never knew what they were or where they came from. I finally determined this year to try and identify them. After a bit of on line rummaging, I think they are similar to scillia or squill (please correct me if I am wrong). But they are in the genus chionodoxa and are listed that way in some garden supply catalogs. The common name is Glory of the Snow because they are such early bloomers and can with stand alpine conditions. They may have gotten a chance to live up to that name last night because we have a temperature of 30 this morning with a light covering of of snow.

It is to warm up over the week end and in fact, reach the 70's on Monday. I will have to go out later and see if I can actually get a few frames of them in the snow.

I got a thumbs up from the driver, when I managed to indicate to him that he was still displaying his tail lights, as he set out to Liverpool for another load of black rocks.

The Grande-Duchesse Joséphine-Charlotte Concert Hall, known more usually as the Philharmonie Luxembourg, is a concert hall in Luxembourg City, in southern Luxembourg. The hall is located in the Kirchberg quarter, in the north-east of the city. Its principal tenant is Luxembourg's national orchestra, the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra.

Designed by French Pritzker Prize-winner Christian de Portzamparc, the building is in the shape of an oval, and its external appearance is provided by a colonnade screen formed by 823 steel columns. Stretching 126 metres (384 ft) at maximum length, and 109 at maximum width, the building dominates the Place de l'Europe. The building cost €113,500,000, and is owned by Luxembourg's Ministry for Public Works. The grand auditorium has a maximum capacity of 1,506 seats, but the standard capacity is set at 1,226.[1] Even at that reduced size, the auditorium is large for a city with a population of under 80,000. Two further halls, with capacities of 302 and 120 people, increase the capacity of the site further.

The Philharmonie concert organ was constructed and installed by the Karl Schuke Berliner Orgelbauwerkstatt. The pipe organ features 4 manuals plus 2.5 octave pedalboard, 81 registers, and 6738 pipes.

The Philharmonie Luxembourg is one of a series of major public cultural centres built by the Luxembourgian government in recent years. The project was launched in 1995, the year in which Luxembourg City was last European City of Culture, with a view to it being completed by the time Luxembourg would hold the honour (which, unknown at the time, it did in 2007). The building was inaugurated on 26 June 2005, as a culmination of Luxembourg's six-month presidency of the Council of the European Union.

It is named for Grand Duchess Joséphine-Charlotte, the consort of former Grand Duke Jean. Joséphine-Charlotte died on 10 January 2005: five months before the concert hall's grand opening.

ZG2BR goes wrong main at Glen Ellyn on the way to the Pacific Northwest with a Flagless low ditchlight AC44 second out behind a UP Gevo leader.

With the deck portion and one side of the signal bridge safely out of the way and MoW having to re-strapping the new LED bridge to the crane to move it into position for the final phase of installment, BNSF' San Bernardino Sub Dispatcher had a small window of opportunity to slug any trains that were holding out in any direction through Highgrove. As luck would have it there was a pair of Westbound intermodal trains held out at Rana waiting to get into Hobart and Long Beach Respectably. That being said the trains were probably somewhat side by side until the Santa Ana River bridge and subsequent uphill grade which the Z-train which was more apt to run up due to the fact that it was: lighter, shorter and had more HPT. So with that being said here's a blip of two Westbounds roaring up into the top of the short climb out of the Santa Ana River toward Highgrove, with BNSF 3984 taking the lead, dorky temporary signals and all.

A some decent show of events that took place here can be seen here, youtu.be/S8I76O4gkro

The near-constant parade of wildlife sauntering past my deck includes a number of white-tailed deer. It is a joy to watch these beautiful animals as they mature and live.

As usual, I had the wrong lens on the camera. But, I do enjoy the alternate view.

…A bleak silence falls over the room.

"Did you bring some pictures, George?" Ronda finally asks.

"I was going to print today, but the water's off in my darkroom."

"Oh," she says, no longer sounding so mad.

"I was going to print some very beautiful pictures of you with...with the bears…. However, do you know what this book needs?"

"Uh uh."

"It needs a picture of what you look like right now. ... And then you can look at it."

Ronda erupts. "What's wrong with the way I look now? I'd like to know what the fuck y'all think I look like! I've got fucking strep throat….”

She fades off.

Outside the sun has set, and the room is so dark now that I cannot clearly see Ronda's features. Speaking gently I say, "You know, Ronda, I don't know about the problems between you and Melvin or whatever, but when I was talking about how you look right now? You're sick with your throat, I understand that. But your eyes ...are just...heavy as hell... Like bloodshot."

"Well—[her voice weak]—you can call my mother—[pathetic, really]—and ask my mother...if it's not true...that the first thing that people looked at was my eyes...and know I was sick. My eyes tell everything!"

"Okay," I say. "I know you could care less about this project right now... I was just thinking about getting a picture of you in bad shape. But I don't need to, you know."

"Under the covers?"

"Huh? Under the covers? That would be all right," I say. "So just get back in bed."

When I get back from my car with my camera, Ronda is no longer in the chair at the dresser, neither is she under the covers, but is sitting on the edge of the bed cuddling Bob in her lap.
