i'm not entirely sure, but i think all of my personal belongings have been relocated to this gnarly old house in the middle of nowhere overnight. either they're here, or in some mysterious fabled storage unit somewhere. whatever the case, i'm apparently between homes at the moment.
uh, i've been tagged like a thousand times, most recently by emmakatka, i think. so i'm gunna give you...ten things i plan to do this summer, i guess. here goes nuthin:
1) find a place to live. hopefully if i work enough hours at that awful roadside fruit stand i'll be able to afford an old winnebago, & hopefully after that i can get a real job & set it up on the beach where i belong. & maybe then i'll make some friends & i'll buy a hookah & we'll lay around & smoke & be douchebags together. & then they'll help me paint it glow-in-the-dark.
2) go to the desert. arizona, or nevada, or new mexico. or california even, whatever. i hope i get a pet tarantula. & i hope i see a scorpion. & i hope i buy some snakeskin boots. ha, that'd be awesome.
3) sleep on the roof of a house. like, get drunk up there maybe & watch the sunset & stare at the stars all night, & watch the sun rise. & then go get some breakfast. at denny's probably.
4) learn to throw knives. possibly join the circus.
or i could just do roadside tarot/palm readings. whatever. i should learn to read tea leaves too.
5) have an epic 4th of july.
that's all i'm gunna say about that.

6) watch every dennis hopper movie ever made, ever. possibly get a portable projector & watch them outside on a sheet tied to some trees. or we could watch the wizard of oz while listening to the dark side of the moon & get really fucked up on some kind of psychedelic drugs. or maybe we shouldn't do that, ha.
7) spend full moon nights outside & awake until morning, mostly just driving.
8) make bunches of dresses. take bunches of pictures. write bunches of stories.
9) get a driver's license. seriously. fuck, i need a credit card too. fuck.
10) go abandoned house camping. let's find an abandoned mansion & pretend it's our house for a week. we'll cook on a fire pit or a portable gas stove & use candles at night. shut up, it's gunna be awesome.

With the deck portion and one side of the signal bridge safely out of the way and MoW having to re-strapping the new LED bridge to the crane to move it into position for the final phase of installment, BNSF' San Bernardino Sub Dispatcher had a small window of opportunity to slug any trains that were holding out in any direction through Highgrove. As luck would have it there was a pair of Westbound intermodal trains held out at Rana waiting to get into Hobart and Long Beach Respectably. That being said the trains were probably somewhat side by side until the Santa Ana River bridge and subsequent uphill grade which the Z-train which was more apt to run up due to the fact that it was: lighter, shorter and had more HPT. So with that being said here's a blip of two Westbounds roaring up into the top of the short climb out of the Santa Ana River toward Highgrove, with BNSF 3984 taking the lead, dorky temporary signals and all.

Voel Coaches Optare Solo MW52 PZC is pictured in Rhyl on Prestatyn Town Service 38 which once a day used to extend to Rhyl Morrisons Store. This no longer happens and the bus has long gone, Voel no longer operating stage services.
Now that the 640 has tranferred to Metroline, the route has lost its personality, its uniqueness and its interestingness, but the blow has been softened by new buses and a needed PVR increase to the 140.

As if the Windrush scandal wasn't bad enough for a once proud nation, now there's added embarrassments coming from flag-waving Little Englander Boris: the prolonged delay over issuing visas to Ukrainian refugees - which, to the eye, almost looks like a deliberate act of sabotage - and then late last week came yet another Tory-manufactured visa embarrassment, this time by issuing asylum-seekers coming to the UK with a one-way ticket to the autocratic central African country of Rwanda.
Right out of the Trump playbook, and effectively subcontracting our responsibilities - and an inhumane policy to boot that's rightly being condemned by just about everyone in authority, and possibly also even illegal under the terms of the Geneva convention on refugees.
But you get what you vote for, and this is all being done in the name of a hard-right, Brexit knee-jerk reaction, as the Tories are thrown into a blind panic ahead of next month's local elections, as they realise that their core vote is crumbling.

As I walked across Tower Bridge I spotted this man sitting and dangling his legs over the edge of Tower Bridge admiring the view and thought that would make a great candid shot and as luck would have it, he spotted me as I got my camera out, and looked my way just as I pressed the shutter.
Tower Bridge (built 1886–1894) is a combined bascule and suspension bridge in London. The bridge crosses the River Thames close to the Tower of London and has become an iconic symbol of London. Tower Bridge is one of five London bridges now owned and maintained by the Bridge House Estates, a charitable trust overseen by the City of London Corporation. It is the only one of the Trust's bridges not to connect the City of London directly to the Southwark bank, as its northern landfall is in the Tower Hamlets.
The bridge consists of two bridge towers tied together at the upper level by two horizontal walkways, designed to withstand the horizontal tension forces exerted by the suspended sections of the bridge on the landward sides of the towers. The vertical components of the forces in the suspended sections and the vertical reactions of the two walkways are carried by the two robust towers. The bascule pivots and operating machinery are housed in the base of each tower. The bridge's present colour scheme dates from 1977, when it was painted red, white and blue for Queen Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee.
