Class 56 No. 56301 departs Foxton, Cambridgeshire wrong line with 6T02, empty spoil box wagons from Barrington Quarry to Wembley.
The inbound working brings in spoil from London, possibly Crossrail, and it is understood that Freightliner may take over the contract shortly, which is likely to rise to 3 workings per day. Apparently it will still take 30 years to fill the quarry though!
The branch to the Exchange Sidings and the quarry, from which the train has just reversed, can be seen behind the loco.

Male Bar Tailed Godwit in full summer breeding plumage. Maybe he didn't get the memo, but he is supposed to be in Scandinavia / Siberia in the summer.
He really stood out (no pun intended, I am sure he has another leg tucked away) in the early morning sun - that chestnut brown plumage really catching the sun. I stealthily crept towards him and this was as close as I got. The only one I could see anywhere on the shore and apparently a very rare sight in the UK.

CSX Q268 cruises downgrade through Ridgefield Park on the River Sub. It would have been nice had the consist been reversed, as the second unit is a rare former Erie Lackawanna SDP45. Susquehanna's MC Yard was fairly empty on this day.

Walked down the wrong street getting to the metro, but happened upon this cool view anyway.
Warsaw is very interesting to me. There is so much going on here, massive amounts of building, speedy progression and then moments of time that are still completely frozen. Like this little postcard of the past presented here.

I came across this place on an almost overnight photo walk in Las Vegas. I guess that there's a lot more to the Las Vegas Strip than the big flashy hotels and casinos.

With crowds of bemused commuters looking on at the filthy trio of Colas class 66's that have arrived at Temple Meads station instead of their trains. The driver looks like he's taken a wrong turn somewhere. 66850, 66847 and 66848 are about to be split.

Whilst out on the S&C on Monday I was made aware that 37401 was back out on the coastal passenger turns in lieu of a DBSO that had suffered a minor conflagration.
I elicited that it was on the opposite end of a set to 37409 but unfortunately was unable to find out which was at what end.
I popped down to Wukky in the murk to shoot the 14.37 BIF - CAR knowing I had a 50/50 chance.
Oh well!
