Called "Second Hand Classic D90" in the Sept. 2013 issue of What Digital Camera in the UK.
Mind the resolution as a magnified snapshot from pdf.
Sadly they changed the wording quite a bit.
And intent was changed as I never wrote equivalent to a 82-300 in 35mm terms.
Or about it's crop factor at all.
My original text sent them.
"In searching for my perfect camera found the D90 to fit all my needs back in December 2010. From the Bigger Brighter Viewfinder to more dedicated controls for making changes on the fly without my eye leaving the viewfinder. Made the D90 a delight in using on a daily basis. First time shooting handheld in underground transit at 3200 had me convinced.
Rarely a need to take it off Auto-WB and metering is spot on.
Shooting the 50mm f1.8D and Nikon 80-200 f2.8 AF-D was great experience with built in motor for driving older classic lenses that entry cameras cannot with their lack of built in motor to drive lenses.Even daily shooting with my preferred 55-200vr makes for a great walkabout setup shooting wide ranging subjects that I shoot for stock photography. And is a great Bang for the Buck even today and would not hesitate to recommend for budding photographer's starting out.
Of course there are newer more capable camera's like the D7000. But on a budget and needing additional lenses and accessories makes the D90 a great choice for those on a budget."

Pointblank from G1 Transformers cartoon series, turns into a futuristic speedster. Transformation doesn't require reassembly of parts.
I am taking inspiration from both his original toy version from the 80s and also some design cues from his cartoon/comic version.

Very photogenic enclaves/intrusions in the Compeau Creek Gneiss on the outskirts of Marquette in the Upper Peninusla of Michigan. I really wanted to write a detailed writeup of what's going on with these rocks, but it's surprisingly difficult to find information concerning a lot of the geology in the Upper Peninsula. This is disappointing. However, it's still fun to look at.
I won't assume there will be literature to review the next time I see a cool outcrop and I'll spend more time thinking about it critically.

On a summer's day, when the wave was rippled
By the softest gentlest breeze,
Did a ship set sail with a cargo laden
For a port beyond the seas.
First stanza of The Ship that Never Returned, folk by Henry Clay Work
I've always wondered on how anything in this world can be perceived in different lights. The same ship that springs hope, fun and amusement to a child can also depict the irony in life to adults, at times. Beauty, for sure, is in the eyes of the beholder.

origamiduck submitted: Hello! I had a very Medieval POC moment at the Art Gallery of Ontario this week. The first photo is a writeup of their Art and Power mini-exhibit in the European gallery. At the other end of the gallery is a huge painting by the contemporary artist Kent Monkman, a two-spirited First Nations (Cree) artist. This painting is called “The Academy” and it’s breathtaking. I don’t pretend to understand all the symbolism but it looks to me like a traditional European school of art re-imagined as a longhouse, the models posing in a campy send up of Laocoon And His Sons (the pinnacle of Greek sculpture, according to the Renaissance). The winged children at the front look exactly like the children in “After the Bath,” a sappy sentimental Victorian favorite by Paul Peel - and that painting is in the same gallery! www.ago.net/paul-peel-after-the-bath. It seems to me that “The Academy” is totally in line with what you’re trying to accomplish here - showing the structures of power that shape what we think of culture and art. That idea was reinforced when I turned from “The Academy” and found two portraits that are clearly of the bride and well-dressed man on the left of Monkman’s painting. They’re the Boultons, the wealthy and influential Torontonians whose money essentially founded the Art Gallery of Ontario. I was thrilled to see Monkman’s painting juxtaposed with these older works. He’s very active now and his online portfolio is huge. Perhaps you might find him an interesting addition to your next Contemporary Week! www.kentmonkman.com/

To be able to have an E-locker in the rear I need a full floating rear axle. Land Cruisers (40 series) came factory with one on the FJ45 pickup only. The issue is of course that the axle didn't have an e-brake since it was located on the back of the transfer case. The BJ42 doesn't have that, so I needed to add an e-brake to the FJ45 axle. Not a simple task. The two backing plates are completely different, have different spacing and a different mounting pattern. This required a bit more work. A full writeup will be available soon. In the meantime, here are some pics that give you an idea of what needs to be done.
Interesting place as a shoot…
Camp 18, Hy-way 26, 60Miles E of Portland.
I stopped there 6 years ago, loved shooting the Massive rusted old collection of bygone Logging equipment. So many huge pieces there, old Tractors, steam shovels, all kinds of crazy odd contraptions. Gigantic pieces of rusting machinery, and old train cars too. A babbling brook, "Humbug Creek" there too which I did not see. Setting is country/rural with some trees.
I hear the food is good too, and served in true Paul Bunnyan style portions!

One of the most surreal but expansive work of art I have ever come across is in the small Tennessee town of Brownsville. This metal behemoth is the work of one man, Billy Tripp and he has named it his Mindfield.
The Mindfield is located in a narrow but deep strip of land between the Sunrise Inn and a strip mall along Main St. (old US70/79), just a couple of blocks east of the town square. Started in 1989, he plans on adding to it until the day he dies. He is always on the lookout for scrap metal, such as the abandoned water tower he found once when he was on a trip. If you visit, you might get lucky and find a free copy of his book The Mindfield Years, Vol. 1 which is a stream-of-consciousness for 725 pages which he describes as a difficult read.
There's a whole lot more I'd like to say but these sites say it better:
I have a coworker who came from Brownsville, and she thought it was cool how it brings attention to the city.

Course 33: Coco
You are presented with a huge white orb(Which my mum genuinely mistook for an ostrich egg), the server then sprinkles curry powder over it, and uses a spoon to 'crack' the orb, and you are told to break it up with your hands and eat it. It is actually a frozen orb made of coconut milk. I wasn't crazy about the bits with curry powder, but otherwise, the coconut milk was fragrant, delicious, refreshing, and creamy. Plus, it was really fun to eat. Good

This was my first try in building a fisheye lens for my camera, and involved simply attaching a door peephole to the front of an existing lens. Results weren't great, and the images produced were dim and had very poor contrast.
That blue thing is the platform that a subway car moves onto, which then slides sideways through the garage on two widely spread rails, till it reaches the spot where the car can move down onto a short set of rails where it will then be hoisted up for overhaul. The yellow part at the end is what tilts down so the car can descend to its repair location.
