Already captured by thousands of lenses, explored on flickr and even present in my own (older) stream, this mosque, the bridge and the glorious Bosphorus sunsets never stop tempting the photographer. Unable to resist, I took a few shots (again), experimenting for single- and multi-exposure dynamics... Nothing to write home about (photographically, here), but a great scene, nonetheless...

It's a set of paper and envelope, with my initial, from the place called "Il Papiro", in Italy
I have never lost the love of putting pen to paper. When I am most frustrated I find it much more soothing to find one of my notebooks to write down my thoughts. When I have an idea I'll jot it down in one of the little books that I keep in my purse or beside my bed. Certain notebooks have specific purposes, some are purely for emotional venting serving solely as a diary, while others are for practical lists or musings related to work or my various hobbies. Others are a sort of hybrid, bridging all levels. I compose letters, work on character or situation sketches, vent in short bursts of angry prose about something that is bothering me. Over the years I have collected many such notebooks. Periodically I will sit and leaf through the pages and see if I recognize the person who had written in them.

I write in riddles
I don't understand.
All the words are
shifting shapes
and blur
against my iris.
I can relax when reading,
make up ends of stories.
But my own?
There's no way
of knowing
so I cross my i's
and dot my t's
and hope to God
He can decipher
what I scratch down
on paper.
