WP GP35 3004 was involved in a side swipe accident somewhere on the WP, and hos found it's way to the WP's Sacramento Jeffrey Shops for evaluation and repair. Once repaired, the unit will emerge with a new EMD cab without the iconic WP "Golden Glow" reflector headlight, and will sport a standard twin sealed beam headlight and will be repainted into WP's new corporate color of Pearlman Green.

WP GP40 3512 leads a trio of GEs eastbound in a small plume of diesel exhaust in June 1978.

Today the tracks and businesses are gone from this location, and so are the locomotives. The 3512 would live on into the UP era before being retired in the 1990s and then finding its way to KCS ownership. It is unknown it it still survives on the KCS as 2820.

WP GP 20 2007 visits the Stockton service tracks in November 1971. The Zephyr inspired orange and silver paint is still looking good at this point, and even the older F7-B doesn’t look too bad either.

A&WP #38709 was one of 100 such 60-ton waffle side boxcars built by the SCL from PS components in late 1971 to early 1972. I have no idea what service they were in, but photos pop up with them in far away places. This car was in Jackson MS on November 8th 1977. No photographer listed, JL Sessa collection.
