Candid eye contact street photography from Glasgow, Scotland.

A single use surgical-style face mask worn to the point that it is fluffy. That mask must be a Petri dish of disease in itself!

With a two metre distancing guideline still in force in Scotland and my usual style of getting closer than that in my candid shots, I found it really difficult to judge the distance and consequently had to crop this shot a little more than I would like. Stay safe everyone!

Walking the crosswalk at Halifax International Airport. Travelers were looking curious why I was taking shots but there was only one who approached. I explained I was not after capturing any one in particular but rather the colours and contrast that flowed by. She seemed baffled by my response and continued holding that look in her eyes that I was pretty weird. The deterioration of the well used pathway was intriguing and I took many images waiting for the passengers scurrying to their flights to add a required human element. Humorously an Airport Authority approached and I fully expected to be pushed along my way. He stated " Do you work for us here? I know it's looking pretty poorly Sir but the maintenance work order is scheduled for this week "

The Western Maryland ALCO RS-3 No. 195 sits on display in the front parking lot of the B&O Railroad Museum in Baltimore. Like most railroad museums around the country, the ability to get the collection under cover and out of the corroding elements is limited and it shows here. This 1953 ALCO was a steam killer, replacing coal-fired engines on coal trains in West Virginia and Maryland until retirement in the 1970's.

There are reasons beyond Covid that are currently keeping me from street photography but I am so deeply grateful that you have all supported me throughout this period. Needless to say that I am now starting to run out of previously unpublished shots. What I will do when that happens if I am still unable to shoot street, I really don't know.
