This was my favourite, and nearly only, Berlin sight: the world clock on Alexanderplatz, a nice piece of space-agey East Block art and timekeeping. I've been wanting to see this thing since Good Bye Lenin! Note the red and gold colouring of the numbers. Nice touch.
Those things are vicious. So silent, so eco-friendly; they couldn't possibly creep up on you as you cross the line and SLAM YOU DOWN like the fool you are. Noooo...
Oh and that's the Weltuhr 'World Clock' in the background by the way. Just in case you were wondering. It looks great fun, like one of those playground rides, but trust me it isn't.
World Clock and the TV Tower (Fernsehturm) built by the DDR is such a massive landmark in Berlin it's impossible not to be absorbed by it. ā at Radisson Blu Hotel, Berlin.

The preciousness and finess of the architectural lines and venetian mosaics have given Monsieur Zu the inspiration for the choice of these particular shades of colours for the skirt creating the hypnotic lightness of the lace.
The ensemble embellished by the lace headband and pale pink flower ,with gold venetian glass beads and Swarowski ,lives suspended in time like Venice.
