I had nice ideas of doing some kind of distortion to a shot of a clock, but I couldn't find a nice clock when the weather was decent enough for outside shots.

London is on there because I'm from the UK, Osaka because my husband goes to Japan quite often so it's nice knowing the time zone he's in. Dubai because my brother lives there and Brisbane because it's the time zone my friend is in so I like to know her time zone if that makes sense!

So, I guess I ran out of time in my bid to record time.

A famous part of Berlin from the East is the World Clock built in 1969 in Alexander Platz. It is a popular meeting point and one of the 'constants' as Alexander Platz undergoes renovation and modernisation. In the background is a temporary exhibition covering the history of the Berlin Wall and East - West German division.

chrislohse: Lieber @berlineralex, bitte erlaube mir eine Anregung zu deinen Fotos, die ich i.d.R. sehr gelungen finde. Wenn die Hauptmotive ungewollt schief im Bildausschnitt hängen, kann man das über die Bearbeitung korrigieren (zB snapseed: straighten). Damit gewinnen viele Fotos optisch enorm.

berlineralex: Danke für den Hinweis! Ich habe ein Android Handy dafür gibt diese Programme leider nicht aber ich schaue mal ob ich ein passendes finde. @chrislohse

chrislohse: Lieber @berlineralex, umso mehr werde ich in Zukunft deine Fotos schätzen, denn mit deinem Android bist du viel näher an der eigentlichen Idee von 'instagram', nämlich der spontanen, ursprünglichen Fotographie und nicht der hohen Fotographietechnik, wie sie sehr Einzug genommen hat in dieses Netzwerk. Ich freue mich auf weitere Bilder von dir. FGruß chrislohse

yesterday's moonrise was gorgeous, but I didn't have the good camera, so I tried today, but the moonrise was well enough after sunset to not get quite the effect I was hoping for, so I have Feb. 17th marked on my calendar for another attempt: 5:34 moonrise, 5:51 sunset (check here for your times. Also, wanted to get it over Mt. Diablo but it was probably about 15 degrees too far North, so I may need to find a different vantage point, and/or some data on the declination.
