June 2010 acrylic on paper
Works in progress on studio worktable.
Five were begun over memorial day weekend. Here we are getting acquainted.
Ms. Letty decided to curl up on the worktable this morning with Pinky. I didn't even have to look for today's shot.
I have a set of little "inspiration words" on my worktable. After much frustration making a bezel, I turned this up.. the card for the day!! OK!....I will persevere!
There'll be a loft in the bell tower at furthest. A library's worth of stuff under wraps. My temporary presentation worktable.

This image shows a small, detailed miniature decorative piece that resembles a Christmas-themed hinged house decoration. It is carefully crafted and painted by hand, showcasing two halves joined together by a small metal hinge, allowing it to open and close.
The left side of the miniature depicts Santa Claus, identifiable by his red coat and white beard, standing at a black worktable, seemingly busy preparing gifts. There's a wreath on the interior wall and some wrapped presents around, indicating a festive Christmas setting.
On the right side, the house is two stories tall. The upper floor shows a small elf or helper figure sitting, holding something in their hands. Below, on the bottom floor, another Santa-like figure is visible next to a decorated Christmas tree. Additional small details like presents and decorations further enhance the festive atmosphere. The miniature's interior has small windows with curtains, adding charm and realism.
The background includes a vivid floral-patterned fabric and a textured blue wall, providing a colorful backdrop contrasting nicely with the miniature.
In summary, this miniature decoration features charming and carefully painted details, capturing a cozy Christmas atmosphere in a small-scale setting.
