All I could think was It's like web images! Lol... of course with atrotious lighting, but you know what I mean.
So these desks are newly given to us by Kevin (which I am eternally grateful for, they're turning out quite well) and they're just two simple glass worktables but they're all shiny!
Welcome to SugarPlumDolls.com I think my cute clothespin dolls make fabulous Christmas ornaments or gifts BUT are now also available as greetings cards, postcards and more..Just to let you know all dolls are individually handcrafted clothespin dolls and make very special gifts or can be used as a holiday ornament. I think they add a personal touch to the holidays! It takes me about 2 to 3 days to make each doll. Each doll has her own personality. No two dolls are alike, some dolls may be similar but because of the handmade process each doll is unique. Some dolls may have slight imperfections in the wood, but aren't we all a little less than perfect! Each doll arrives on my worktable as a blank slate. After I draw on the face, paint the hair and body, then I glue the head to the body then wait a day for the paint and glue to dry. I have a treasure trove of fabric and tulle and I begin to craft an outfit and accessories for each girl. I hope you will enjoy your visit here. You can shop for an actual doll online at www.etsy.com/shop/clothespindolls or visit me on YouTube at youtube.com/clothespindoll where I show you how to make your own Sugar Plum Clothespin dolls and other cute handmade items. Enjoy the day!
The shelves are over a worktable. Our page from the Dean and Deluca catalog, framed, some paper flowers I made, kitchen pig from a blog reader, card made by one of our customers' daughter.

A view made from two photos, looking around the little enclosed storage area into where I have the drawing table, the digital table, and the bookshelves. I'm standing about where the couch is, and where the worktable will be.
I've got some metal lamps to hang from the ceiling. The landlord is happy to have that done for me. And I'm thinking I might paint a mural of sorts on the wall to the right where the ladders are.
Two cards in one day...for me that's being on a roll. I made this one (another attempt at clean and simple) with the scraps on my worktable. It's a little closer to CAS, I had to keep from adding glitter, Stickles and such. The patterned paper is from Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety and Basic Grey June Bug. I used a Hero Arts Kraft notecard.

Someone's junk can be an inventor's treasure (or a photographer's still life)--for these items belong to a friend who could probably assemble them into a working computer! You can also find this art print for sale at: Fine Art America, or please email me to discuss purchasing a custom print.

180: On a 1x30 belt grinder I’m going to start very carefully removing the excess bolster material along the top, checking it periodically to see how close I’m getting to the frame. I’m using this belt grinder, as opposed to the Burr King setup, as it’s smaller and I can get in a little tighter to the area I’m working on.
To make room for the clamp to clear the table, I’m again using a 1”X2”X3” precision block to lift the work, while still keeping it square to the belt. This is a little precarious here, as I’m only using one block on the far left side, under the blade. There is not enough room on the worktable for two blocks, but most importantly the two areas that the frame could rest on, are on two different planes. The handle area has an additional 60 thousands thickness on each side, so it is wider than the blade. Be especially careful not to tilt the handle area, keeping the blade tight and flat on the block. A little slip and the grinding won’t come out square.

Edgar Germain Hilaire Degas
French, Paris, about 1882 - before 1905
Oil on canvas
23 5/8 x 29 1/2 in.
Two milliners sit at a dramatically angled worktable, their bodies partly obscured by the shadowed hat stands that crowd their work space. Seen as little more than a silhouette, the figure at right works carefully on a hat. Her attentiveness is not shared by her older counterpart who, though grasping a swath of pink fabric, appears lost in thought, gazing beyond the frame with a disquieting expression. The brightly colored ribbons--pink, yellow, orange, and green--draw attention to the drabness of the room and its inhabitants.
Over the course of about thirty years, Edgar Degas produced more than twenty paintings, pastels, and drawings of millinery shops. Among modern painters, Degas alone depicted this subject matter with such frequency. His voyeuristic yet empathetic portrait of the milliner's private world focuses on the physical hardship of their work. The woman at the left embodies the painter's concern; even at rest, her wiry body and pallid skin registers a life of hard work and meager reward.
My gigantic worktable that I love dearly, and makes it so I don't have to bend over a small table and kill my back!
a 5' x 2' x20" cargo chest I made out of red oak; and finished with 8 coats of marine spar varnish.
I specifically built it to fit my hitch-haul cargo carrier, to act as a cargo box on the back of my truck; but it also serves as a lockable tool chest in my outdoor woodworking area.
