Went across the bridge yesterday and noticed these two workers walking down from the top. Of all the times going across the bridge first time I've ever seen them do this.
They are binding the water lily (a vegetable too) for selling. which has been picked from the nearby lake ...

Workers in one of the leather tanneries in Fez, Morocco. In those days, I was too poor (and mean) to pay a tip to be taken to a higher vantage point which would have been so much more interesting.
I gather it’s quite a tourist attraction now.

Carrying a cement bag for construction work half way up Adam's Peak. Adam's Peak consists of 5500 steps, is 2243m above sea level and takes approximately 4-5 hours to climb.

The worker honey bees can lay unfertilized eggs (which could develop into drones) but normally the presence of the queen and the pheromones that she produces in the colony suppress this ability.
When there is no queen for a prolonged time however, laying workers can emerge. In a tiny apidea mating hive this happens quite quickly if there is no queen and no brood.
You can see the eggs in the typical messy pattern for laying workers with multiple eggs per cell.

Having traveled to the renowned Fort Myers, Florida, shrimp docks, I photographed this interesting fellow working there. Nice T-shirt: "I didn't Mean To Offend You. That Was Just A Bonus." I guess you develop an attitude hauling shrimp everyday.
