Mendocino has a small community library staffed and run entirely by volunteers. Outstanding books and people. Here are the 2 people working today. I wish I had asked their names.....

 

Because its May 1st, Workers Day, everywhere I went doing errands today I asked workers if I could take a photo. These 4 photos are my favorites from the group.

Family members of fallen WSDOT workers attended the agency's Worker Memorial ceremony in Lacey to listen to stories and honor their loved ones killed on the job -- many in marked work zones.

I have been quite around the streets in old Dubai market area. But yesterday was the first time I visited the market area in Deira. I was jus' surprised at sight of workers kickin' back on these mini cargo trolleys on every nook and corner of the busy streets sippin' tea n having a chit chat.

 

While I was there, I did try to kick back on one of these myself :D

A construction worker on the new Bow office tower, behind the old Northwest Traveller's Building. I liked the mix of steel girders, metal balcony, and old brick.

I left a few 'failed' polaroids in my bike basket for a week to see what would happen to them. They got rained on, squashed by bags and generally abused. But a couple came out quite interesting.

Elli was barking at the railway worker who was up on the train line. As you see, Hector never even noticed he was there.
