I am drawn to this old suspension bridge in one of our local parks. I know when the best light is but, even better, I know its history as a WPA-build in 1938. I feel the pride of those workers every time I get down here with my camera and love taking it in b/w. A parks' colleague did replace the suspension cabling around 2000 or so.

One more week in the rebuild and then clean up the mess :-(

There are many plantation workers on the cameron highlands, most arriving from overseas, mainly from places like nepal. Working the plantations can be risky, with snake bites a major concern.

A worker carries baskets of salt on her bamboo pole at sunrise. The Hon Khoi Salt Fields in Nha Trang is one of the largest salt fields in central Vietnam. Sea water is pumped into these fields and allowed to evaporate leaving salt crystals behind. The men then rake and collect the salt into pyramidal heaps, while the women carry the salt to be processed on their bamboo poles.
