I made this a few years ago (2016 I think.) A couple days ago when I was looking for something SciFi I found it again. A bit of manip in Photoshop yesterday and this is what came out...

Work during daytime and lots of other things to do during the weekends don't always leave a lot of space for making photos.
Fortunately, now that the days are getting longer, it has become possible again to spend some time along the tracks after work.
I'm still behind with processing my photos, but I have arrived on June 10th last year. That day was very nice, so I enjoyed a couple of hours making photos. Taking time for nothing but waiting can be so relaxing!
And getting a freight train in some beautiful light makes it all that more rewarding.

The brick factory work is seasonal and the employment is contractual, utterly insecure and wage is piece-rated. Though man & woman workers comprise about one-half of the total workforce in every factory, they hail from the families that survive by working as labourer in every conceivable sense; they are from lower caste and class.
Sturgeon's Mill operated from 1924 to 1963. I liked the old fashioned feeling of work. Here the log is being cut by the steam-driven circular saw as the operator watches. And in the distance, work men with brimmed hats, wait for the next board to come off the saw.

Il fabbro era indaffarato nel suo lavoro, ma si vedeva che lo faceva con passione, quindi non ho resistito ed ho dovuto per forza rompere il ghiaccio per scambiarci 2 parole e fargli una foto. Gli ho detto "vedi giù in piazza i tuoi coetanei sono tutti nervosi e con espressioni serie e pensierose, tu stai lavorando e sorridi".
The blacksmith was busy in his work, but you could see that he did it with passion, so I couldn't resist and I had to break the ice to exchange 2 words and take a picture of him. I told him "you see your peers down in the square they are all nervous and with serious and thoughtful expressions, you are working and smiling".

No sonaba el despertador al amanecer, simplemente le despertaba el sonido de la gente que comenzaba a moverse a su alrededor, llegaban los primeros cabreros con la leche recogida el dia anterior, su amigo Irram era el encargado de ir vaciando la leche en cubos que median la leche y llenando grandes calderos para hervir, él era el responsable de servir vasos llenos de leche, con su bandeja plateada, a los clientes que pronto empezarian a llegar... ——————————————————————————
