For generations, gondoliers have worked these waters, passing down skills and traditions that define who they are. Tourists may see a charming ride, but for the gondoliers it's everyday life-steady, familiar, and rooted in history. This image offers a small look at that world.

The word focussed at the centre of the picture reads e-pish meaning "work". It is a detail of a lexical list containing Sumerian terms in a left column and their Akkadian equivalants on the right. One can compare those lexical lists with modern dictionaries, but the sequence of this specific "dictionary" follows the pronunciation of the Akkadian terms.
... not only the face up but the character as a whole. ;] I started to blush his face and defining the eyebrows this afternoon... I'm a bit lost with this guy, still not sure if he's going to be blond or dark haired... I like this blond wig better cause the black ones that I have are too big for his head... besides, almost all my dolls have dark hair and I'd like to try something different with him... would need blond/brown lashes.
If in the end I decide for a black wig I can darken the eyebrows right? o.o

Working on freelance Fashion illustrations for a TV Commercial. I don't have a big desk so I draw on the floor with everything lying around.It's been a while for me to draw girly things but it's fun so far.
Diese Foto ist im Einkaufszentrum PEP in München am letzten Samstag vor Heiligabend entstanden. Ich wollte sehen wie verschiedene Menschen diesen Tag in einem EKZ erleben, was da passiert so kurz vor dem Fest und dieses Bild finde ich beschreibt die Gegensätze ganz gut. Im Hintergrund sieht man groß die Werbung mit einem Model das einen betrübten Blick hat. Davor sieht man eine Familie? Im Vordergrund ist eine Reinigungskraft die ihrer Arbeit nachgeht und von den anderen Besuchern des EKZ sicher nicht wahrgenommen wird.
