A second shot of the male Godwit landing gave me a real surprise because it has a radio transmitter with quite a long antenna fitted to its back. You will see the wire going from the container on the back to the water!
Spinning burning wire wool to create falling 'sparks' of light. It's a really cool effect - look it up (and be safe, don't attempt without proper safety equipment etc.)

I have something to read for a few days at last. It came the February issue of Wired.
This is what happens when you scratch your lens. I hadn't noticed the scratch till I tried to take this shot and the sun sparkled off it causing this effect. So reproducible , perhaps not unless I use that camera again.
I'm not an IT spod, but I do get to sit next to the cage with the office server in it. Which can be mildly distracting on a really quiet day.
The very first wire weaving project i tried. I used a tutorial, and I was happy with the result. I like these colours so much I have used them a few times now.
High tension wires near the Ocotillo power plant. Relatively significant modification of the colors and contrast. I still haven't gotten around to removing the unfortunately large lens glare.
