A reworking of an old shot. I love the early 20th century electrical installations - all those ceramic insulators and bare copper wires.

Al fin tengo lectura para unos días. Llegó el ejemplar de febrero de 2010 de Wired.
I have something to read for a few days at last. It came the February issue of Wired.
These bold, modern and fashion statement earrings were created from various gauges of wires and adorned with aquamarine glass beads, silver beads, Swarovski bicones and special edition Swarovski faceted teardrop.
Can't stop playing with wire...sweet links (from Wire Style 2 - Cindy Wimmer Design link) These ones still needs some refining.
This large wire sculpture in VanDusen Gardens, Vancouver, is always magical in its setting, and in the snow it looked even better. A wire-sculpted hare that is part of this unit has been stolen.
I'm not an IT spod, but I do get to sit next to the cage with the office server in it. Which can be mildly distracting on a really quiet day.
The very first wire weaving project i tried. I used a tutorial, and I was happy with the result. I like these colours so much I have used them a few times now.

Our friend Ang came to stay overnight on her way to Ross-on-Wye, so we took the opportunity to watch our latest LoveFilm delivery with her - Man on Wire, the story of Philippe Petit and his walk across a wire between the twin towers of the world trade centre.
Philippe Petit is undoubtedly one of those people you would put in the class of a genius - with the kind of mental imbalance you might expect from someone of his kind - and it was fascinating to see the difference between how his friends were treated (friends, without whom, his illegal stunt would never have happened, and who were immediately deported from the country), and how quickly Philippe's celebrity status meant he escaped charges and went on to live a comfortable life in America.
What a bizarre world we live in.
