I made an earring out of copper wire today.
I inherited several spools of copper electrical wire from my granddad when he passed away several years ago. They have manufacture dates from the 1980s. He used the wire for electrics. I, sadly, am spectacularly untalented in that area.

Wire are an English rock band, formed in London in October 1976 by Colin Newman (vocals, guitar), Graham Lewis (bass, vocals) and Robert Gotobed (drums). They were originally associated with the punk rock scene and were later central to the development of post-punk.

Crochet wire ring.
I just join the group, Ring a day for a year. Since I did not start at the beginning of the year, this is my first ring.
Oh yes, we're in the same building as wired magazine, and a modeling agency. so awesome. Here's a video I made of the whole moving process
Microeca fascinans. The Jacky Winter is a small grey-brown flycatcher with a faint pale eye-line and white underbody. The dark tail has prominent white outer feathers which are obvious when it lands, wagging his tail from side to side. The Jacky Winter typically sits upright on a bare branch or perch, wagging its tail and uttering its 'peter-peter' call. F&P PH IG
I have been having an online discussion re the ethics of taking photos of people who are unaware of the camera. There seem to be various schools of thought on this.
Never-the-less I went out on Wednesday with the specific aim of photographing people. Here are a couple of the results.

A client needs a job done on the business end of this wiring loom, but never mind that. I just thought "Ooh - pretty colours!", and snuck it into my bag to bring home to photograph...
I edited this together out of 2 pictures with star trail software, 1 when I lit up the plane and the other when wire wool spinning behind the plane
