Happy Sliders Sunday!
Dutchmen Pipe Leaf vine wrapped around the barbed wire in the late evening bokeh as the sun went down through the trees and the light shining in .I like the way the vine wraps around the barbed wire mingling together and I enjoy the spider webs that are not seen until you look close, My sister gave me this Dutchmen pipe vine many years ago
Telephone wires and poles are just part of the street furniture that we don’t really notice around us. They blend into the background and our brains just blank them out as being nothing to take any notice of.
However , when we get a theme on ‘Smile on Saturday’ of ‘Look up to the sky’, they take on a significance that makes them eminently photographical!
For the Macro Monday theme 'Wire' (October 14th 2019)
Silver wire woven into a bracelet. The bracelet (in the 2nd comment field) is made entirely of strands of silver wire. There is no soldering, just bending and weaving the silver. Even the clasp is made from strands of silver wire. This was hand-made for me by a friend who was beginning to learn metal-working at the time - 'The Adventurous Silversmith'. She made me three kinds of woven silver bracelets. Another one was used for the last MM in 2013. That one is linked through from the first comment field, and is a Roman and Viking design. ;o)
Several people have asked about my talented friend who made these lovely bracelets. She has a wide variety of metalworking skills - and other things too
www.theadventuroussilversmith.com/ Do indeed check her website out. Laurie Kern is her name, and currently she is living and working in Texas ;o)
HMM to everyone, and have a great week!

I'm guessing that mythical beings with wings would quickly get tangled into the wires of a modern city. Or camp on all the different poles and giant billboards to turn into vantage points, like cats. Never mind, at least you can look cool while falling with style. I added the dove to sum up my current mood. Stay derpy everyone.

The 0.12-inch (32 mm) diameter wires are spaced 3.0 inches (7.64 mm) apart and parallel to one another. They serve as a "see-through" barrier on a backyard deck.
NS 2520 and company sit at 111th Street in Naperville with a manifest, awaiting a fresh crew to keep it moving south.
Coronavirus quarantine effected on me: i've created a new album on flickr. It's the first one of that kind - a selection of 100 from about 500 pics tagged 'pipes'. (Normally i use my albums to accumulate ALL the pics fitting the particular topic)
It's limited in time from 2012 to 2015 so it doesn't include the recent pics. The order is pretty random, the pic choice was mostly spontaneous. Сheck how it turned out -> www.flickr.com/photos/62113916@N02/sets/72157713872281276/
If the quarantine won't finish soon i may start doing more of these :-)

Macro Mondays
Theme: Wire
Size: Less than 3x3 inches
The subject is a co-axial TV cable with the rubber covering removed and the wire mesh teased out to resemble branches of a plant.
The cable sits on a mirror with a healthy spray of water to create the drops...... background colours are coloured plastics bags.
Light sources are at 9, 12 and 3 o'clock.
Many thanks for your visit, comments and favs...it is always appreciated.
