I have smashed then wrapped some old electrical wire. Very (very!) light weight and really must be tried on to be appreciated.
Usually about 2.25 to 2.5 inches long.
Sunset at Fairview, with the web of wires for Dublin's electric Dart system. Also basking the evening rays are the decomissioned Alstom Dart sets at the East Wall end of the depot, now parked up permanently.

The film was processed and scanned, no prints. The file sizes are between 3 and 6mb jpeg's.
The upside of this method is having a film and digital version of my photographs. The downside is the cost of film and processing.
had a whole schwack of siskins descend on my yard last winter....they stayed on through spring and now they have brought in all their young....when they're not gorging at the feeders, they hang out in the cedars and firs but, for some reason, they also love swinging on the wire stringers for my raspberry plants....they sure are fun little things to have around....

The blue graph shows Wired Magazine's page count (I couldn't find a few, hence the gaps, but they should be in boxes somewhere). The red is the Nasdaq composite index. Notice Wired tracks the Nasdaq. (recently changed the Nasdaq chart for accuracy, and now it doesn't lag but tracks).
I'm not suggesting it's an accurate indicator. But it's fun.

Tornado Warnings and Damaging Storms Move Through Ingham County, Michigan
After a Massive, Fast Moving, Down Bursts, Micro Burst's & Straight Line Winds. No Tornado confirmation
This was taken 5 houses away from my home & this was WHY I had no power for just over 48 hours.
"It was a ferocious storm, we had reports of a tornado just west of town," "ITC, which means, the transmission poles, there are 60 poles down."
Consumer Crews were working Monday & Tuesday (5-30/6-1-11) round the clock to try to restore power, but several businesses were still without it Tuesday.
Mason schools were closed, due to Power Outage.
INGHAM CO. - The National Weather Service tells officials in Ingham County that it was not a tornado, but "high-end straight line winds (at near 100 miles per hour)" that has caused the main body of damage to the county. The NWS does say that there are indications that a tornado, caused a lot of the damage.
116,000 customers have been affected by Sunday's storm.
