Here's something a little different for my feed. We've had some big waves here on the Central Coast, so one day I went to Morro Bay and photographed surfers, rather than birds or sea otters.

A new wipeout. Tourmaline beach, San Diego, California, USA

My Son-In-Law (RH corner, back to camera) took me to his favourite Surf spot so I could take some shots of him in action. I got some spectacular action captures but not all of them were ones the subjects would want to brag about!! There is nothing elegant about a wipeout!

Happy Hump Day!

This is a rare photo and I take prestigious claim to securing such a snap. For only a few months, the erstwhile Arriva operated No.19 entered the compound of Surf Snowdonia, a surfing complex that only opened in 2015. Photographed with less than two weeks before Arriva surrendered serving the Conwy Valley, CX06 BGZ (2573) is caught on a journey from Betws-y-Coed to Llandudno in the grounds of the booming entertainment center. This was a sparkling afternoon for photography and it coincided beautifully with the No.19 route looking its last with Arriva power forming the services.

The bus scene in Rhyl has changed considerably over the summer with both the loss of GHA Coaches in July, and the demolition of the traditional Crosville depot buildings this weekend to make way for the new state of the art ARRIVA Buses Wales depot. Incredibly this site has remained a working bus depot throughout the re-modelling period which has taken almost a year so far and is scheduled for completion within the next couple of months.

First shot of a Wipeout inspired anti-gravity racer. Custom decals have been applied. Better photos and some other models on the way.

For three years straight we toured the nation

When we got through we needed a vacation

We wanted to party and get a little rest

So we packed our things and headed out west

We got our surfboards took the beach ball out

Jumped in a limousine ready to wipeout......

We got to California I said headed for the beach

There were girls galore all within our reach

There was sand and sun and lots of fun

But when we get there the fun really begun

So we cut on the box and started to shout

It was the beach boys rockin' huh huh the wipeout....

Another multi exposure shot, this time 3 blended together in Photoshop. The light wasn't great when I took these, and they're moving at such a speed is was hard to get a decent shot :-(

These were taken at the Skateboarding area on the Southbank. Let's hope their petition succeeded and they don't have to move it somewhere else.

Happy 2021 to everyone.

I have started the year with yet another Feisar build. This time the build was more aimed at shape and proportion which is why there are so many gaps here and there.

This is the most accurate I have been to the Feisar model from WipEout Pure, which in my eyes is the closest to perfection. I had to make some concessions with some areas. Mainly being the curve in the lack of curve in the nose, no airbrakes on the wings and the cockpit is shaped differently.

I really liked the outcome on this one and I hope you all do too.

Thanks

The second MOC I built, more than 10 years ago when I was on MOCpages. At the time fluo colors was still the hype (for me).

Just a reminder to us all that sometimes you just have to get out there on do it ... and have fun doing it!

I spent a pleasant afternoon showing a friend from Australia around Piha, one of New Zealand's black sand beaches west of Auckland and I was lucky enough to catch this surfer wiping out ( I say lucky enough but really I mean patient enough, It's only a matter time on a west coast swell at Piha ;) )

3 shots stitched in CS3. This was the first time I've shot in full manual mode too ;) Megan's photography must be rubbing off on me ;)

C&C's welcome :)

A challenging obstacle at the end of the 7 Mile Rim route near Moab, Utah. You do not have to do this, unless you are taking the short-cut back to pavement. Many people elect to do this anyway (going down and back up), then continue on the main route, either out past Determination Towers or reversing the route.

On this trip, we continued on out the short-cut, but several people went down, then climbed back up, then back down again to join the rest of the group. I'd done this both ways before, so decided to wait at the bottom until everyone was done playing.

Third and last iteration of the Wipeout inspired craft for the Intentor AG Team.

It features a new front, a more consistent engine structure and more details in the bottom.

Based on the TV show. The obstacles reminded me of LEGO. Fully functional.

Taken on Saturday at Croyde Bay, North Devon. This was just before he was dumped unceremoniously into the sea.

Braving the rough seas, I took the Go Pro and shot some 4k footage.

I just pulled some screenshots from Pulse off of my PSP, would love to take some from Pure since I've got all the DLC for that one but it doesn't have an in-game photo feature.

Kinda uploading these for reference, also thought some others might want them.

Let me know if you want more pics of a craft from Pulse! I'll take some screenshots of it for you if you want some in-game pics of it.

I've got a couple of EG-X and AG Systems not worth a crap, I lost all my good ones of Assegai too. Got a bit of scenery shots as well if anyone wants them.

One of the things I'm finding with the 365 is by having my camera with me at all times, I get to photograph events that normally I would not. This happened today during a snow storm as the car spun out in the median. Not a greatest pictures, but nonetheless part of winter life. Also, it looked like no one got injured in this mishap.
