I've been getting back into one of my all time favourite games, Wipeout, and this is something I've thought about building for some time now.
I wanted to show the evolution of the racers from the oldest to the newest game, so I've made the AG systems racers from the first ever wipeout game (the one furthest back), because this was my favourite racer back in the day, and the one from Wipeout HD for PS3 (ok, technically the Fury variant from the expansion pack to HD is newer, but I went with the HD one).
And because I wanted it to have a competitor to race, I also made a Goteki 45 racer from the same game.
This will be on display at Brickworld this weekend :)
I will post individual pics of the racers later.
As I was building and researching the other, "Wipeout", I came across the site for the new incarnation of the classic video game (which I've never played) and was distracted from the obstacle course tv show for a little bit.
So we went for a nice little walk at the weekend...;-)

A last minute rush to the Tunnel view presented a spectacular crimson sunset. A few years from now, this view might get blocked by the trees growing right in front of the vista point unless the park conservancy decides to sacrifice the trees to restore the view.
Shot from a beach in Victoria, BC. Took the camera for a little side to side ride to get the blurred effect. Slowed down the shutter speed and pivoted as quick as I could without losing control. Wanted to try out some ways to get some layers going.

I love Wipeout!
That's gotta hurt? Looking back on a massive swell that hit Northern California the day of the Maverick's Surf Competition. Rumors were that the waves here at Ocean Beach in San Francisco were larger than Mavericks that day.

After launching from Nexen Beach in Squamish, BC, this kite boarder put on a good show until he doubled back, got caught on a wood piling and wiped out. This was the better picture.
Happy 2021 to everyone.
I have started the year with yet another Feisar build. This time the build was more aimed at shape and proportion which is why there are so many gaps here and there.
This is the most accurate I have been to the Feisar model from WipEout Pure, which in my eyes is the closest to perfection. I had to make some concessions with some areas. Mainly being the curve in the lack of curve in the nose, no airbrakes on the wings and the cockpit is shaped differently.
I really liked the outcome on this one and I hope you all do too.
Thanks
