How cool was Wipeout 2097?! Seriously! I've got the Wipeout bug now and have more racers in the works :-D
Thanks to Kyle Peckham for getting me hooked!
This is a close-up photo of streaks of dried road salt and dirt made by the wiper on the hatch window of my car.

"Being spat out of one of those giant, roaring Hawaiian tubes is the most amazing sensation I've ever experienced in my life. It's joy, fear, and accomplishment all rolled into one experience."

The River Lune became a play park for jet skis one Sunday.
If you look carefully on the right is a yellow spec - a kayaker who bravely dealt with the wash from a number of these noisy motorcycles on water.
One break you’ll find tucked away in the Southern California’s shoreline is called Sunset Cliffs. This spot is a magical haven of hidden caves and glorious little reef peaks that lead to some beautiful sandy lagoons. Sunset Cliffs Beach is a San Diego local’s favorite spot to catch some waves, watch the sunset, and enjoy a beach picnic, just be careful of getting splashed if the swell is pumping!
With over 2 miles long of beach bluffs and panoramic views, Sunset Cliffs produces some glassy barrels when the tide is low and the kelp beds and sandy bottom form the perfect beach break. But sometimes these waves come at a price because let me tell you, walking down to this surf is a journey in itself, part of the reason why this break is so mystical.
Sunderland lighthouse in a total wipe out. I decided to revisit the post processing of this image as I did not like the separation between images by white boarder, so I went back to photoshop to give the transition to each image a fuzzy effect. Is it any better, you can be the judge.
Explored!
Summer is almost over, Camp Butano Creek is done for the year, and I have a bunch of photos to work through for the Wavecatcher unit from the 3rd session. Not all are epic wipeouts like this, in fact the unit did rather well at actually catching waves... and I think they'll be pleased with the memories I have captured for them!

A lucky find and capture on the South Cornish coast at Perranuthnoe - try saying that after a few ciders !
I started out looking for the obvious but found an old classic with Rory Gallagher . In an interview once Jimi Hendrix was asked " what's it like being the greatest guitarist in the world ? "
Jimi replied " Dunno , ask Rory Gallagher " !!

I love Wipeout!
Here I have select 5 shots from a group of eleven showing the power of one wave hitting the Sunderland lighthouse. The storm hit the east coast of Britain on January Friday 13th 2017, so I spent most of that day trying to catch the event. However I felt one photograph would not show the power of the storm so I decided to photoshop a series of shots showing one wave totally wipe out the Sunderland lighthouse. The hardest bit was selecting the sequence of 5 shots to present as a single picture.
The Wave is a well-known photo destination just inside the northern Arizona border. It's delicate formations are easily damaged so the BLM restricts access to this hike to 20 people a day via a lottery. The hike is more a scramble as to find this location you must identify landmarks along the way and make your own "trail".
It appeared that this small bit of bush (the "driftwood", if you will) was about to be wiped out by the next wave.
..those summer days, a tribal ritual of strength and daring in front of the girls on the beach
[Edit: this shot later became part of the Seachange NE project's collection of images of North East Coast, and came to feature in local press]

Sorry for the shakes. I don't carry a tripod because I don't do many videos. Just a little amateur fun video here.
