First walk for a while what with weather and winter lurgies and so on. Fortunately there was no wind, so even though it was a bit brisk, it was still a nice day for a walk.

Tarra river in the middle of winter flowing through the land of the Gunaikurnai People.
It was cold, it was wet, but it was beautiful.
Living in Fairbanks we rely on ground transportation of common freight from Anchorage either by truck or railroad. The trip is 360 miles in the winter this is common road conditions.
This was taken a few years ago to capture this I had to postion my self in the culvert and the duck and cover the camera the truck was traveling at 60 miles and hour and the snow as you can see was being blown around from the truck.
I've always loved these cold winter nights with the moon lighting the snow.

Winter's warmth can still be found on the coldest days. Of course down south, anything below 60 degrees Fahrenheit is considered cold. Let's keep things cold for a bit longer. Winter provides a wonderful palette to behold.
