Winter is here, but winter gardens can still have beautiful photo subjects to offer :-). You can now also find me on Society6: society6.com/mariakallin
I hope your weekend is good!
It's cold out today! This shot reminds me of winter and the crisp cool beautiful morning's that winter can yield. It is one of my favorite seasons to photograph, despite the occasional frozen fingers.
A re-edit of a previous upload. I think it better expresses the emptiness of the prairie in winter without the postcard texture, though I always like post card texture.
Light Box.
Just a normal country winter: sunset - check, pines - check, pond - check, and of course....a bale of hay - check.
The summer in Germany is so ghastly at the moment - incessant rain - so I think it's time for an archive Winter scene.
No, it is not in England. I was admiring Scandinavian organization a few years ago in Luosto, Finland. The winter didn't surprise locals at all...
Sometimes you have to be silent and listen to the world around you to hear the beauty of the world let a silent whisper escape your lips so the snowflakes can hear it..
I took this photo in early winter; it was cold but not too bad. My Jupiter-9 lens just arrived, and I wanted to take it for a spin. Wide open, it has some glow, which may or may not work for an image. That day, it did not work for me. At f/2.8, it sharpens up nicely with still a hint of softness. Very nice, indeed.
More of our deep winter. Sorry to disturb your summer :)
Hoar frosts in Central Otago, South Island of New Zealand. It is so cold they are curling this year (sliding rocks like bowling balls across frozen lakes)
Thanks if you have time for a comment or fave :)
Edit: Managed a 1st place with this at our local club in Dunedin!
