Not my favorite landscape. I'm uploading this because I learned a new technique (I think) in photoshop.
I bought a digital photography magazine to read on the flight home. I purchased the magazine mainly because it had a review of a camera I'm interested in. While reading it I noticed it had a tutorial on using gradient filters in photoshop. I've always liked the effect, but never really thought I'd use it enough to justify buying a $150 filter.
I overdid the effect a bit on purpose to really see what this effect can do. Let me know what you think. I see some real possibilities for artistic use of this processing effect.
Oh, also, I think this is my first landscape with my telephoto lens =)
Winter sunset....Arizona style. What a amazing evening last night for wild clouds, followed by an amazing sunset.
Winter twilight at Brighton Pier, a classic view that on this occasion suits monochrome well.

Another winter wonderland idea, but from a higher perspective and with a red tinge. I particularly like the sun rays in this one.

Sunrise over the Irish Sea from Slieve Croob Summit. Slieve Croob (from Irish Sliabh Crúibe, meaning "mountain of the hoof") is the tallest of a group of peaks in the middle of County Down, Northern Ireland. These peaks lie north of the Mourne Mountains, between the village of Dromara and the town of Castlewellan. Slieve Croob has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It is the source of the River Lagan, which starts as a spring and runs from here, through Dromara, Dromore, County Down, Lisburn and Belfast, where it enters Belfast Lough
