A dark cold day but just now I looked up and saw a gloriously bright white light bursting from behind a dark cloud and spreading light on the water and into my studio. Love that!

As my plane approached Chicago we flew over Detroit. The sky took on a beautiful blue hue. I think that's Lake Ste Claire on the right.
This is the view from the cockpit of the Packet, showing one of the two Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radials. It's not the best quality, but it was the best I could do with Photoshop to make up for the cloudy windows. Still, one cannot resist a classic propliner view!
