The sky is hazy and thick with fire residue and smoke. It made for an interesting morning shot through the kitchen window. #cy365 284/365 'off prompt'

Some hours later our Finnair Airbus A330-302 landed at Bangkok's Suvanabhumi airport fourteen minutes ahead of schedule after a spectacular approach over the city's outskirts.
Apologies in advance Flickr friends; I expect to fall behind in commenting a bit this week, but I'll do my best to catch up. Thanks for your patience.

Woke up to palm trees outside the window this morning. Some of you have this view everyday, but I have oaks and pines at home. I love Florida.
View from a window in an old abandoned structure on Punta Mesca, along the hike from Levanto to Monterosso in Cinque Terre. This trail is amazing, where one essentially hikes south through vineyards, olive groves, and pines, and traversing cliff sides along a peninsula until hitting the point (punta). Upon making the turn around the point, one is treated to panoramic views of the Cinque Terre coastline encompassing all five towns, and otherwise enveloped by the deep blue Mediterranean Sea.

The morning of the second day of the trip... This image perfectly captures the mood of that morning. We awoke early on the ferry from Ijmuiden to Newcastle, although it felt as though we had been awake all night. The cabin, as mentioned yesterday, was small and very basic, and when combined with the rough weather, it made for a rather unpleasant mix. The ship rolled from side to side and pitched up and down throughout the entire night. While we weren't seasick, the overall experience was undeniably uncomfortable. However, once we disembarked from the ship around 10:30 am, the day that followed was fantastic and helped us forget about this rough start to our journey – DFDS ferry crossing from Ijmuiden to Newcastle.

When the Adriatic becomes boring, it's time to head inland - to the Krbava Sea! With beautiful beaches, clear water, untouched nature - and just the odd aircraft flying overhead - this hidden gem is waiting just for you! An interesting transformation of the normally dry Krbava Field a day after the passage of a huge storm system. Even though it would dry up within a couple of days, this impromptu lake had nevertheless caused problems for Bjelopolje Airfield, whose runway had ended up half submerged along its length...
