I think this is the first time in over 35 years I've had an office with a really interesting view from the window!

Woke up to palm trees outside the window this morning. Some of you have this view everyday, but I have oaks and pines at home. I love Florida.
Perks of working from home.
I can set myself up with the window seat and keep an eye out to the distant view while enjoying the breeze coming through.... and work.
The morning of the second day of the trip... This image perfectly captures the mood of that morning. We awoke early on the ferry from Ijmuiden to Newcastle, although it felt as though we had been awake all night. The cabin, as mentioned yesterday, was small and very basic, and when combined with the rough weather, it made for a rather unpleasant mix. The ship rolled from side to side and pitched up and down throughout the entire night. While we weren't seasick, the overall experience was undeniably uncomfortable. However, once we disembarked from the ship around 10:30 am, the day that followed was fantastic and helped us forget about this rough start to our journey – DFDS ferry crossing from Ijmuiden to Newcastle.
Coffee, knitting, reading, pen and ink in my mom's chair looking out at the window view. #windowview
I worked for 47 years from 1974 to 2021. My last 30 years were with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality in Richmond.
For my first 43 years, I had an office. For my last four years, I had a cubical. BUT, at least I had the best view in the building.
Sitting at my desk, this was my view. A fantastic view of the Virginia Capitol. What a view!
Have a beautiful day...dear friends!! :-)

Melissa Etheridge ~ Come to My Window
When the Adriatic becomes boring, it's time to head inland - to the Krbava Sea! With beautiful beaches, clear water, untouched nature - and just the odd aircraft flying overhead - this hidden gem is waiting just for you! An interesting transformation of the normally dry Krbava Field a day after the passage of a huge storm system. Even though it would dry up within a couple of days, this impromptu lake had nevertheless caused problems for Bjelopolje Airfield, whose runway had ended up half submerged along its length...

There are days when I am unable to leave my house due to chronic pain and yet nature finds me and gives me something to focus on, literally…

Since jet drivers constantly wow the internet with their in-flight long exposures, I think it is time for us turboprop guys to also get in on the action! Despite a ceiling of only 25,000 ft - still in the "dirty" and hazy layers of the atmosphere - and ample vibrations at a myriad of amplitudes and frequencies, a little experimentation can occasionally produce a usable result...
(apart from the dirty windscreen, a couple of distortions and the odd reflection from our avionics)
