Something I see every day, but only a rainy day decide to shoot it. Collected from flea markets and antique malls over several years, these objects get more notices when going outside isn’t practical.

.....a pair of wasps got trapped inside the window. Have no idea how they got inside. I managed to get them both outside without getting stung.

A Haiku Note:

Since the heat is now on, I removed a fan from the bathroom window to discover dust collected on the screen.

This insect had the most amazing eyes which went well with its golden body. It was on a window screen at my home.

For Our Daily Challenge: Abstract

Also for Macro Mondays: "New" theme

This image results from a new technique for me that I tried after viewing a short video on the method by photographer Bryan Peterson. It's a shot of a window screen sprayed with water with a colorful fabric in the background. Peterson shoots without a flash in the video, but I added a little variation by using a ring flash with my macro lens for this one, which created the white reflection patterns off the water. A second shot that was taken without the flash and with a different background material is in comments, along with a link to the Peterson video.

HMM!

Flickr Friends: After today, I will be away from Flickr for a few days. I will resume Flickr activities, including commenting on your images, when I return.

I only took two photos yesterday, both with my phone. One of my "over the wall" shots, it's the view from my standing desk where I write. Suburbia at its best, I appreciate the window light and the ever changing sky, but it's never a distraction, and that's important. Everything else seems to be.

I found this one on my outside window screen. Turned out to be a new species of stink bug for me. Also goes by rough stink bug but this is a much more fun name.

Sunset behind her lighting up the hood. I had to improvise in order to light up the face - a windowscreen (windshield) reflective blind from the car! via 500px ift.tt/1M70U9q

On car windowscreen just shows how filthy it is when it looks clean. If anybody has got some sun and warmth send it my way.A few flies and this little fellow and that was it today. Can I count this as twofer?

My window basil spends all day watching all the girls go by.

I know this because we compare notes.

"Imagine" :)

The orginal fortune in that cookie read: "You will gain admiration from your peers"... so lame. -_-

So I wrote my own fortune, which is the above. I'm sure that's everyone's prayer :)

Looking out. This Wasp danced around on the inside of the screen for about 60 pictures.

My travels around the UK by car for three weeks with my son. June/July 2019 England.

Day seven. After a look around the Bristol Harbour area we made our way across to Wales. Lots of more on the way along with lots of traffic jams.

The Second Severn Crossing (Welsh: Ail Groesfan Hafren)—officially renamed the Prince of Wales Bridge (Welsh: Pont Tywysog Cymru)—is the M4 motorway bridge over the River Severn between England and Wales, inaugurated on 5 June 1996 by the Prince of Wales to supplement the traffic capacity of the Severn Bridge built in 1966. The bridge is operated by Highways England. On 2 July 2018 the bridge was renamed the Prince of Wales Bridge in a ceremony conducted by the Prince.

For Designer Digitals August Scavenger Hunt "RELAX."

I saw a video last night by Bryan Peterson that showed how to make this image, and decided to try it myself. This was done by shooting through a windows screen that was sprayed with an emulsion of water and cooking oil, and an out of focus colorful scarf behind the screen. I used all three of my Kenko extension tubes in order to get close to the screen. Here's a link to that video which is on Adorama's learning center ..... www.adorama.com/ALC/Article.aspx?googleid=0013661&ali....

The only change I did to Bryan's technique was to aim a Strobie 130 flash through a snoot to brighten up the background. The strobe was in manual mode and was triggered by a Tiny Trigger from scottrobertstudio.com.

Other pictures featuring bright colors and emulsions can be seen in my pretentiously named, Emulsion Art set. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157625787156195/...
