Shot with my Sony DSC-WX220, a great little camera! This is a crop from a 20X (Clear Zoom) telephoto photograph. Filtered and fixed up in CameraBag 2. Tweaked using the Aviary app.

47579 "James Nightall G.C" (ex 47183 - SF - NNEA) - 1H10 (1035 SX London Liverpool Street - Kings Lynn, which was formed of 9 coaches) - Broxbourne (un-usually routed via platform 4) - 12/07/88.

Nice to see ARS getting in a mess today regulating the late running 7L42, rather than running it to it's booked stop at Harlow Mill ahead of 2S32, it ran it via platform 4 at Broxbourne to the Down Passenger Loop for 1B76 to overtake, but instead of follow that & 2S32, it late it out between the two!!!!!!!!!

Dear Friends, I'll be back in the hospital tomorrow for my 5th chemo. One more to go ! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your kind words and support. It helps more than you will ever know! 💖

This simple image was taken through a window screen for the Macro Mondays theme this week, "details from my neighbourhood."

I really enjoy abstract macro images, so this was a fun one for me. Simplicity.

With a little luck, you can capture black holes without access to a powerful telescope!

Here is my fortunate capture of several black holes in various stages of accretion. Also, some of them seem to be in the process of merging. As a bonus, interstellar space was somehow imaged in the form of a wire-like grid. One can see how the fabric of space is distorted around the black holes by their powerful gravity fields.

NB1 - Apparently, some kind of interaction between the metal window frame through which I was shooting, the sensor in my ancient iPhone 4S and the local wireless 3G communications network made this image possible. Please note that newer iPhones and newer networks (e.g. 5G) may not have this capability. As I say, when questioned about my continued use of an iPhone 4S, "If it ain't broke, don't replace it."

NB2 - A UFO can be seen in the upper right hand corner.

Location of window: An old, currently unused storage building, near the Dorf Kern (Village central area) Riehen BS Switzerland.

In my album: Dan's Windows.

Shot through a windowscreen, the nest is located just two meters off the ground on a small electrical meter box with lots of human traffic on the walkway below it. The robin layed no eggs and was gone a few days after we noticed it.

Not the tomb itself, but a view of a gate through one of the many lattice stone windowscreens.

I did not fix this, but this is my fix

58008 (TO - FENC) - Hartford (not Acton Bridge) - 1638 - 04/07/89 (Un-identifed Southbound merry-go-round from Garston Docks to Toton, which was formed of c30 empty HAAs).

I cheated & removed a reflection from the windowscreen in photoshop (my excuse is I was using a manual wind on AE1 & not a burst of shots from my D850)!!!
