Dad was washing a pan and the steam was catchign the morning light nicely so I thougth I'd take a photo. This si the result.
Part of the May 9 Photographic Art Society of Roswell open studio workshop. Attendees brought some of their favorite pictures, and we set up similar lighting scenarios so that they could learn to light.
I just had to make use of some of the lovely window light that was seeping into the living room this afternoon!
Kodak Retinette f , a Fench-German model, Angenieux fixed lens, used wit Fuji Superia 200 (commercial development & scanning).
Lens wide open, focus on the leaves - not such a sharp lens...

I have tons of images sitting in my computer that I have never processed. I found these while reviewing my last shoot with Courtney.
I love tight close-ups so decided to work with this image. Feel free to comment. My favorite images are close-ups that include a hand or two. I need alot of work in that area I think.
I captured this with available light only. The main source was a large window behind camera position and slightly to the right.
平成25年10月16日(水) 外壁の窓:これを撮るとそこに映されるものが吸い込まれていく。向こう側の世界は恐らく幻、虚の世界かと思うがこちら側の世界が常に窓を通して空っぽにさせられている。見方を変えれば逆に向こう側も同じ状況に陥る。どう転んでも無しか妥協点がない。
I can't decide which I like better, the color or bw. I love the color but I just love how her eyes look in bw. I must post both! LOL
She starts every morning with a cup of tea, wishing that she lived by the sea
not only do I wish I were living near the sea, I at least want an apartment with more window light and a view other than a cinderblock wall. I want to be able to see the sky without having to press my face against the window and look up. I want to feel a cooler breeze that doesn't drift cigarette smoke from those who smoke on the balcony.
This is a frame from a test roll when I was trying out Forte film from Hungary. Nice film, unfortunately they went out of business around that time. Fortepan 400 processed in Xtol 1:2. Camera was a Leica M6 with 35mm lens.
