The Canary Islands has built itself an image based on beautiful beaches, impressive weather conditions and a friendly atmosphere. What people might not know about this archipelago is that it’s home to some real architectural gems too. The Spanish colonial period brought with it the European Gothic and Neoclassical architecture of the time. Canarian architecture has evolved throughout the years, and today, classic design, modernism and nature blend in harmony on the archipelago.

As a typical stereotype girl, this is the only way I remember how to use screwdrivers, and manage any type of "turning object"...including the faucet outdoors for the hose!

Holy bodacious boobs, Batman!

Is the windowframe rising or sinking? Up to you to decide. I am waiting there for her, Viva, ....onthe beach.

The window is open...will she jump out or will I climb inside?

I'm being experimental- I think it comes from being around Olivier. He is very gifted at shooting candids. I on the other hand feel totally self concious.

I tried this over lunch. I've kept the shot in my stream even though I'm still unsure if I like it or not. Its the left hand side I don't like- the bit of the windowframe. But I do like the crop of the women, when I crop the window out it doesn't work....humnn.

This was my lunch by the way :)

(This being decidedly on the "before" side) ha ha ha ha! :)

Taken on a fairly chilly morning on holiday in September. This blue tit seemed to be clinging to the window frame for warmth.

Vines with a few remaining autumn leaves cover the outside of an old window.

I worked from home today - which meant I got to test out my new manual zoom lens a bit. My focusing was a bit hit and miss, but I like the few shots that I nailed - even though they're not really of anything in particular. The light was nice today, in between a few short showers.

Still not feeling well, so I was glad to be at home today. I had lots of cleaning to do at lunch and after work (ahead of our friends staying tomorrow night), so also glad not to have to travel to and from the office.
