See where I goofed? I put the wood piece on the left too far below the wall surface. It was later fixed with plaster.

the old ones are stained softwood and most no longer shut properly, as well as being single glazed and not lockable. The new ones are steel framed blue-grey upvc, double glazed, and all lockable.
Another shot taken by my brother, at the top of the Baker in the elevator motor room. The shot speaks volumes to me as an analogy for the hotel itself. As well as a perfect example of the beauty to be had as nature slowly reclaims pieces of this beauty.
I'm being experimental- I think it comes from being around Olivier. He is very gifted at shooting candids. I on the other hand feel totally self concious.
I tried this over lunch. I've kept the shot in my stream even though I'm still unsure if I like it or not. Its the left hand side I don't like- the bit of the windowframe. But I do like the crop of the women, when I crop the window out it doesn't work....humnn.
This was my lunch by the way :)
Day 24 of one month of Self Portraits
