Found this interesting building while exploring Rookwood Cemetery. At first I thought it was a Rotunda where one could sit and reflect on ones loved one. But the doorway facing straight down the path leads to two toilets. One full of bricks and the other with remains of a loo. The main structure had pavers of some sort, but they might be in someone's landscaping. There are a few remaining! Then there is the remains of a sink and tap against the one wall. Mystery to me, could have been a caretakers shed to store tools in maybe.

I took a photo on my iPhone so as the get a geo tag. But for some reason the location is marked smack bang in the middle of Parramatta Rd between Page Ave and Earle Ave. Satellite image shows residential housing. Maybe i should have used my Navman!

Not hard to find, just drive in main gate past the Italian Monument company and follow the road till you see structure on right.

Print available for purchase in my PhotoBox Gallery.

I really must get on with some outside cleaning instead of spending time with the camera and computer.

Harlequin ladybug I met in my bathroom (they hibernate in the windowframe). Despite many attempts I could not get a sharp picture of this very mobile beetle, and eventually it flew back to the window.

I captured this window in Prague. I was amazed at the detailed artwork on the buildings of this very magical city!

Walking round the Castle Museum in York and this view from the window stood out to me. I thought it might make for an interesting shot with the frame silhouetted in the foreground.

I like the textures of pane, the slightly frosted feel, the stone framing and the sky beyond.

Ring-Tail Lemur, sat on the outer windowframe ledge of their house in lemurs woods, as this was where the sunshine is !

I don't know why this hotel went bust and was left to fall into its current state. It's in a fine location; maybe the road it sits beside was bypassed by a faster motorway or something.

Reflections are from a wall art mural that was on a building behind where I was standing. The original thought was to shoot the lone ladder that was in a room on the fourth floor of a building. To me, the reflection was a bonus and adds a bit of mystery to the image.

I wanted to commemorate the 2012 London Olympics but in a way that I could incorporate my love of 'interiors' as well as being free to indulge in the use of colour and design. This representational series allows me to be as creative as i want and has given me plenty of ideas for the future. My intention is to draw the viewer in, keep them amused and able to find more each time they look.

Interesting to note that the dimensions of this window are EXACTLY 4:5 which made cropping it to the 4:5 preset dead easy!

Almost down to bare wood in one application. Not so bad. People, I understand sometimes we get bored with our bathroom. It happens, I know this. So buy some new towels, some #fancy soaps, maybe even a funny picture about leaving the toilet seat down. These are all acceptable. So please, for the love of your god- DON'T PAINT YOUR FUCKING WOODWORK!! And whomever thought it wasn't enough to just paint all the wood in my bathroom- really, seafoam green? Really?
