I hadn't used my 50mm f/1.4 in aaaaages, but I let it get reacquainted with my camera today.

I forgot just how unfuckingbelievably sharp it is.

No garden is complete without a wind chime. Or a dozen or so.....

The first big one shown is about 60 pounds. Needless to say it was lots of fun getting it into position. You always know when its windy in my garden!

This is actually fake rain from a garden hose in one hand and my camera in the other

I drove out to Tempe Double Butte Cemetery on the morning of Memorial Day, hoping for some interesting pictures. I got them, but not the way I had expected. The cemetery, which I had never visited before, isn't very large, and not even particularly interesting; but it features a memorial garden, where I found these windchimes hanging from a tree. I came home with 31 new images, of which all but two were of the chimes.

Wind Chime with Solar Light

This wind chime has a solar panel that provides power to light up an LED contained inside the crackled-glass, amber-colored sphere on top. Five metal chimes hang from the canopy, producing a gentle cascade of tones in breezes. 8 1/2" diam. x 43 1/2" h. bit.ly/countrydoor_windchime

I'd love to say that I made this but I bought it at the Salt Spring Island market...I'll have to take a more detailed picture so you can see the pale blue beads and other details. The cutlery has all been flattened...how would one do that? Would a hammer work?

My neighbor is a horrid, nasty monster of a woman. With really pretty little wind chimes.

my dad had a bunch of pens and pencils on his work bench in the basement. most were sharpened without a pencil sharpener. i recently saw an image of vintage pencils made into a wind chime. though i dont think these would make enough noise to call them a wind chime, i thought it would be an interesting project for me and the brood.

This is part of a windchime that has been hanging - nonfunctional of course - on my wall for a long time. Maybe I should hang it up outside?

Ben and I found this windchime hidden in the branches of a tree @ Figment. Anyone want to take credit?

Two very large wind chimes in this tree. Located in Gruene, TX.

In August, we went to visit Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine to see the windchimes! It was very lovely but also extremely hot and bright. Not my best photographic work. 😅 But it was a fun day!

Just before taking down the windchimes for the winter. Needless to say, but I'm saying it anyway, I LOVE windchimes!

One of the lamps was casting a shadow of a wind chime that my Aunt Jacki gave me!

It's not only a wind chime, it also glows in the dark. Day 1553 of the project.

At a cabin, there is this new shiny wind chime hanging in the back varanda that, when the kitchen light is on during a pitch black night, looks like this.

Love the sound windchimes make.
