Wind driven rain and sea. I just love a bit of a gale. I tried down the pier a bit but it was SO wet! Makes for dire photography but just had to do something.
The prevailing west winds have shaped the large white pine trees. One has actually lost its top.
This was taken on a snowy day. The original showed a multitude of white falling snowflakes. Edited in LR to enhance detail and whiten background.

Driving thru the pass toward Palm Desert the wind corridor powers fields of wind generators like rows of corn in Iowa. Some people think they are eyesores but I want to go up to them and give em a hug.
Wind turbines in the California desert north of Palm Springs.

The first morning of our trip, as the sun rose, we saw a cloud bank on top of the hills to our left, but then realised that there was a wind farm hidden in there. One would appear then disappear, then another would fade in and out. We saw later that there were lots of them all along the top of the hills. It was an amazing sight!
When we purchased a Wind Chime from Kodai, we noticed that the top holder is just a wooden piece in the shape of a flying bird (closest shot would be a sunbird.
Had some time during the weekend and a few acrylic paint bottles, which transformed this wooden plank (leftmost snap) that was shaped as a bird into a colorful bird (rightmost one)! The middle was the one that was shot while artwork was in progress!

On Sunday, Cushla and I accidently ended up at Wreck Beach where we became enthralled with a woman selling Indian clothing. These are some of the cloths hanging on a line.
I think I could have shot these better with my Contax.
