In the absence of a glorious sunset I trained the cameras away from the sun and found a kite surfer setting up on dry land. In my mind the strings looked to be attached to the scaffolded building. Enjoy!

Wind and Rain some of the weather from the recent hurricane made it here, strong winds and heavy rains left some more leaves and limbs on the ground, shot in North Carolina.

Rough seas at Hartlepool Headland! The waves were rolling in and crashing up against the sea wall, sending the surf high into the air and spilling over the wall, very close to these people braving the dangerous elements. We saw some of the earlier observers get drenched by the spray and they made a hasty retreat! We kept a safe distance off!
The wind turbines in the distance are just off the coast near Redcar and are owned by EDF Energy Renewables.

It's called Wind Ridge for a reason. It was howling up here and difficult to remain standing upright. That's Pigeon Mountain on the left and the diagonal trail is Skogan Pass.

we’re having extreme weather in parts of california. wind gusts up to 65 mph. some of the photos of downed trees destroying houses and cars look like a hurricane hit us. the rivers and streams are overflowing with persistent rainfall and flooding parts of major hi ways and roads. we have another full week ahead of more strong wind and rain. lives have sadly been lost.
