The wind was blowing steadily and apparently, based on the shape of several trees in the area, it frequently blows hard from the same direction.

This is Wind Point Light North of Racine, WI.

 

Photographed on Kodak Tri-X 400 using a Canon Rangefinder III and the Canon 35mm f/2.8 lens. Developed in Diafine based on an exposure of EI 1200.

This goes with the other wind power print. This was a poster advertising the same event as the other one. I think it is very text heavy but this was definitely for informational purposes so it might be alright.

Participants in a recent program at the Jocelyn H. Lee Innovation Lab were given an "Engineer's Challenge": Use a variety of supplies and tools from our community makerspace to generate electricity from the wind. We provided minimum instruction, but our volunteers were on hand to help everyone be successful. Fun + learning = good times in the makerspace!

I was on my way to visit relatives for Christmas when I came on this scene on the Blue Ridge Parkway. The wind blown mist was turning to ice as the day waned and it was starting to get dark. I dropped down off the Parkway onto 321 and headed South. Christmas Eve 2007
