Taken just a few meters further up the path than yesterdays shot and converted to sepia tones in PS.
Windmills at Livermore
Life is the fire that burns and the sun that gives light. Life is the wind and the rain and thunder in the sky. Life is matter and is earth, what is and what is not and what beyond is in eternity.

Taken from Waterloo Lane, Kingsley, during a daily exercise last year.
A break from trains, and I like the clean lines offered. I also thought the pylons brought a dose of northern realism, so opted not to clone them out.

A fun mix of locomotives pull Burlington Northern train No. 177 along the Big Horn River at Minnesela, Wyoming.
The Wind River Range rises on the horizon in this view shot in early November from just east of Farson, Wyoming.
The sun dipped low, casting a heavy, amber glow across the frost-touched grass of the ancient meadow. There, a lone pheasant moved with the grace of a forgotten king, his copper feathers burning like embers against the deepening shadows of the approaching night. Each step he took was a silent vow to the earth, a rhythmic dance of survival beneath a sky that bled crimson and gold.
He was not merely a bird, but a spirit of the twilight, searching for the last secrets hidden within the golden stalks. As the chill of the evening wind began to whisper through the trees, his vibrant plumage remained a defiant spark of life in the fading light. He belonged to the stillness, a poetic sentinel of the fields whose beauty was a transient masterpiece, destined to vanish into the velvet embrace of the dark.

OK folks: you got me Explored again and Front Page this time: My thank you's are inadequate so it's half an hour of self-flagellation with a rusty sjambok. But thank you so much anyway.

A quelques milles marins de Saint-Malo, on peut apercevoir du ferry le parc éolien en cours de construction au large de la Baie de Saint-Brieuc.

Manchmal braucht der Kopf einfach mal Platz. SPO Bei Wind.
Sometimes the head simply needs space. SPO By Wind.
For Sliders Sunday, I made a composite image from two of my own images one of which is an ICM taken in camera at evening hour. There was some editing post blending. It now shows a truly gusty day!
WHEN SWEET CORN IS RIPE….
THE HARVEST IS IN... then, you know it is Autumn… here in Northern Europe at least.
All Summer you see the fields getting higher.
Silk is the name for the pistillate flowers, which emerge from the husk.
The fruit of the sweet corn plant is the corn kernel, a type of fruit called a caryopsis.
The ear is a collection of kernels on the cob.
Because corn is a monocot, there is always an even number of rows of kernels.
The ear is covered by tightly wrapped leaves called the husk.
Sweet corn occurs as a spontaneous mutation in field corn and was grown by several Native American tribes.
The Iroquois gave the first recorded sweet corn (called 'Papoon') to European settlers in 1779.
It soon became a popular food all over.
Another personal favourite, cannot say exactly why...
With love to you and thank you for ALL your faves and comments, M, (* _ *)

14 December 2016: Snow fall at Mingo Creek County Park in Pennsylvania.
I ventured out in the snow to a local park to photograph the fresh snowfall after it transformed the landscape with beautiful snow. As I composed another image, I noticed the wind was blowing the snow off the trees and creating a mystical effect. I quickly recomposed to capture the "god beams" of blowing snow that was backlight by sun.
