I photographed this wild flower head in the conservation area of the village church. I positioned myself so that I captured the "dandelion type" seed head behind it to give the effect of a halo. Or maybe its having a smoke! 29-06-10

Wild Horses. Tender Moment.

I took a drive to look for photo ops and spotted, what I at first thought was a horse. It had its head down eating grass and I couldn't see its hind end. Suddenly it put its head up and moved towards the bush, at which point I realized it was an elk. I had never seen any elk in this area before, and it seemed to be alone, so I don't know how it ended up there.

The young Buzzard was after the Stoat for its next meal. After two atacks the Stoat survived to live another day...Not as good as I would have liked but it captures a moment in time.
