hello to all from Africa, in the middle of a fantastic trip to Botswana, Zambia and South Africa. Taken thousands of photos.
Very lucky to see these wild dog, they are the second most endangered carnivores in Africa.
It was almost dark - hand held 200mm at 1/8 second, lens wide open!
Thanks to all at Kwando Lagoon camp for the most fantastic stay - highly recommended for anyone who wants an authentic african experience.

These tiny wild strawberries are edible but can be confused with a false strawberry which does not smell nice when crushed.
A wild fox in the mountains of central Idaho. This little guy may be a little too friendly for his own good.

Allium ursinum or wild garlic. Found this on my walk this evenjng. This pungent and slightly peppery plant was there in abundance growing in the damp soil. It's good to use raw in salads and cheese or to cook with. No additives or preservatives.
seeing wild rabbits always reminds me of Adams' book, Watership Down.

Another shot from my superb trip to Carna. This was taken on the Sunday morning, when we'd been told it was time to finish up---and this otter decided it was time to put in appearance on the rocks nearby. It came up onto the rocks with its catch, which it ate in front of us before doing a quick circuit of the rocks... a perfect end to my trip :)

a beautiful wild flower ,known locally as honesty, when the seed pods are ripe you can peel back the skins to find a lovely transparent leaf which can be used as a dried flower
