This is Old Man. Approximately 29-31 years old (which is pretty old for a horse, domestic or wild).
Wild horses in the Onaqui Mountain range of Utah near Dugway in October 2018. As of December 14, 2018 the Bureau of Land Management wants to take away nearly 80 percent of the horses on this range that would leave approximately one wild horse per every 2,000 acres.

I spent a morning with the Braodfoot wild horse herd located near Eminence, Missouri. Mostly, they ate grass, but these two horses got into it at one point.
Wild turkey are ready to greet you at Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge. Now is a great time to get outside!

A Rio Grande gobbler in the Oklahoma Cross Timbers. I heard this bird gobbling and drove to him. Parked a ways off and called him in. He gobbled a lot, but would not come to a full strut yet. The season is early.

Mose was mentally scarred by his experiences in the Civil War and now spends most days playing his banjo on the stoop and talking to anyone who passes by. He is popular with the townsfolk because he can turn his hand to most tunes and causes no trouble.

Dino is a third generation Anglo/Italian settler. He was once a rail road worker but now has a large moonshine operation. Although illegal the local sherrif and town governors turn a blind eye in fear of what Dino would do if his operation is disturbed. Much of his moonshine is served under the counter at the local saloon.

I did a bit of exploring while heading home from Death Valley this past Thanksgiving weekend. The area around Panamint lake always intrigued me. Last year I took a quick look through the remnants of Ballarat. This time I made a left turn off Panamint Valley onto Indian Ranch road. The lake still had a bit of water left over from summer monsoons, and I noticed quite a bit of greenery around the back of the lake. It turned out to be a heavy Mesquite thicket. I thought it may be a good place to find some wildlife to photograph so I grabbed my D7000 and 80-400mm and headed out. First thing I noticed was a maze of narrow trails and very small hoof prints. I wondered through for 30 minutes and didn't see a thing. I was thinking, wild Pigs or maybe Goat.
It was getting kind or eerie seeing nothing around. As I was returning to my Jeep, I saw some irregular shapes up the canyon. Looking through my lens, I finally solved the secret of the trails, yep...Wild Donkey!
I was pretty excited, since I had never seen them in the wild before.
So, If you ever want to get some shots of Wild Burrow...head out to Panamint lake!
An expanse of wild garlic sweeping through Hammerdown Wood at West Yatton Down. This was taken on a local bike ride using my mobile phone.
I photographed this wild flower head in the conservation area of the village church. I positioned myself so that I captured the "dandelion type" seed head behind it to give the effect of a halo. Or maybe its having a smoke! 29-06-10
